Anyone doing SLIM IN 6?
Marissa,
That was a great work out wasn't it! Let do it again next weekend! Thanks for choosing me as your coach! Don't worry about the club. Some people value it more than others. I like it because I get discounts on the beachbody products and I order a lot of supplements so my membership kinda pays for itself.
Great job pushing play!

Thanks Kimberly,
Today I did my first slim and Limber + SIU session in the morning, I had to pause it twice though.
I didn't do push-ups..could never do it ..I think I will need to stay on it for more than 2 weeks to get the posture right.
Hey Tanya!
Congrats for starting SI6!!! That is awesome. So what, you had to pause, at least you did it! Push ups are my weakness too!!!! After 4 weeks, I'm finally getting stronger with them.
Stay on whatever phase is comfortable for you. Don't hurt yourself. The burn is GOOD, but pain is bad. Don't push to hard.
KPP Tanya, you're doing great!
Kimberly
let me know what you think.
manar
Manar,
I'm not really sure how beneficial that would be. There's not documentation on fasting other that the fast start in the Slim in 6 literature and I am not an expert.
However, there may be more qualified people to answer that question elsewhere on the message boards here.
I'm sorry I'm unable to help you with your question![]()
Kimberly
Hi,
I hope everyone is well! Today I completed Week 6, day 1!!! Yay! I can feel my butt getting tighter and my legs getting stronger.
Anyone need some encouragement? Let me know. If you're too shy to post, send me a message or an email and we can talk privately.
Ok everyone, KPP!

Gals, I am still on SIU..saw RIU few days ago and really REALLY got scared. So i guess i am gonna continue on SIU for one more week.
Has anyone stayed on SIU more than a week ?? Guess I am gonna be the first one.
I am eating on average of 1700 to 1800 Cals, which I think is little more than what I shud. I am trying to start dinner with salads..but still i get hungry and eat at leat 500 cals for dinner.
I am still finding lunges and side crunches little difficult to have a controlled movement.
-Thanks,
Tanya
Hi Tanya,
As long as there is a deficit between what calories your eating and what your burning, you will lose weight. Are you using both those meters here?????? I would never have lost the weight I have without those two precious meters.
Are you eating 5 times a day? If you're not, you should be. You should be eating every 1-2 hours. This will prevent you from having cravings and from feeling hungry. It works!!
LOTS of people stay on SIU for more than a week! These are tough workouts and if you're not used to the moves, moving up to the next step can be scary.
My advice for you when you move on to RIU is to not worry about keeping up with Debbie. I chatted with her a few weeks ago and she is more concerned that your form is correct. Just do what you can and march in place when you get tired. As long as you're moving you're having a successful workout!
I know lots of people that stay on RIU for the full 6 weeks and more before moving on the BUI!
Congratulations on continuing with SIU! You are doing great!!
KPP,
Kimberly
Thanks Kimberly,
I am logging my info to wowy.com..got my account reactivated. But it asks me if my diet was between 1-5, with 1800 cals a day whole grain bread for breakfast..brown rice for lunch and little over eating for dinner ..would it be 1-2 or 3?
I am not a paid member of wowy, by it lets me log in my workouts, can I still choose a coach being a free member ?? If yes, then tell me how to change it to you ??
-Tanya
Hi Tanya,
This is subjective, but this is how I grade myself: If I only eat from the top 2 tiers of Michi's ladder I give myself a 5, no matter how much I eat (within reason), a 4 if I eat anything from the 3rd tier, a 3 if I eat anything from the 4th tier, and a 2 if I eat anything from the 5th tier. I never give myself a 1 unless I ate more than I burned.
That is how I do it. You can find Michi's ladder in wowy. If you have trouble finding it, I will guide you.
Wowy is free!! Yay! Yes, please go to customer service and send them an email requesting me as your coach. My name is Kimberly Bratton (member name: kimberly125). Please copy me in the email, just in case.
As your coach, I will continue to give you any motivation and support that you need!! I will suggest supplements, meal plans, follow up workouts, etc. Just so you know, as your coach, I do get a small commission when you order any products or join the MDB club. And I will talk to you about those things once I'm your coach, when you're ready.
For now, I am so glad you're back on wowy! Get a pic, any pic of yourself on there asap so you qualify for the daily prize, ok? It takes about 48 hours for wowy to post it. I look forward to working out with you! Hopefully we can schedule something!
KPP!
Kimberly
kimberly i just wanted to ask you about the two meters that you are talking about, can you please tell me what they are/
thanks, manar
Hi Manar,
Nice to hear from you! At the top of this page, there should be a tab that says my account. Click on that, and the two meters should be there. There should be tabs to click on to set them up, but if you are having trouble with them, let me know and maybe I can help guide you through.
The meters are the two squares. One says Burn Meter and the other says Eat Meter. These tools have been so valuable to me. I now know pretty much how many calories everything I eat has and how many calories a burn when I workout.
Good luck and let me know if you need more help.
Kimberly
thank you for your help, i really appreciate it.
manar
You're welcome manar!!
Are you doing the Slim in 6 program or considering it?
If you are, please make sure you eat enough. You asked me previously about fasting and I just wanted to make sure that you were eating at least 1200 calories a day. That is the minimum. If you eat less that this on a regular basis, your body will go into starvation mode and start eating itself.
Kimberly
I just got the Slim In 6 and I was looking around the message boards seeing what people had to say about it.
I just did my first workout tonight but Im an overachiever and found that I wasnt tired at all after the first excercise thing so I kept going and wound up at around 90 minutes worth.
So I wanted to know how well it works for people if they cant get every day because Im in a school play and then with homework some nights I just wont have the time
Hi soundslike,
You will not get the results the programs is designed to give you if you do not workout 6 days a week. Debbie does not recommend doing more than one workout a day. However, she says it's alright to add cardio.
SIU is designed for you to ease into the workouts so by the third day, you are ready for RIU.
Not knowing what your goals are, I can't tell you that you shouldn't do it anyway, but I wouldn't do it unless I had the time to commit to the programs as it is designed, at least the first time through.
Other people may offer different opinions. Try going to the message boards at beachbody.com. Hundreds of woman are on there and will give you their input on the program!!!
Congratulations choosing SI6!! It's a killer workout, you'll see!
Kimberly
i was actually supposed to start on 2/1 with the slim in 6 but i just didn't get around to it even though i was so motivated. today i am starting the 2 day fast and i will start slim in 6 on monday. my daily caloric intake is about 1400 cals. i do the zig zag so everyday its a little different. congratulations on completing the six weeks, i can't wait to get there. so how much did you lose altogether/ i saw your day 23 photos. Good job!!!!
manar
Hi manar!
Thank you! I'm almost finished! Today is Week 6, day 3. So far I've lost 15 pounds, but that goes up and down a little because of water weight gain. That water gain is such a mystery, so don't get too weird if you gain like 2 pounds overnight, because that's happened to me and I was eating right![]()
I'm glad to see the number of calories you're eating! You're going to do great!
Congratulations on starting Slim in 6 on Monday! Keep checking in here for motivation. Wowy.com is also a great place to stay motivated and possibly win prizes just for working out. Check it out or ask me!
Kimberly
Hey gals how is it going!!
I did my first BIU workout last night and boy oh boy! it was great though, I def had to take some breaks but it was a blast. i'm still having trouble getting through the entire leg workout, i think i have to practice in between workouts.
How is everyone doing?
Kimberly! You're almost done! :)
Marissa
Hey Marissa, Congrats for doing ur first BIU workout.
Are you on BB forum ?? thats a much active and supportive place to be in. I am still on my SIU, for how long did you stay at SIU ?
Manar ? how about you ?
I checked out Kimberly's thread in BB forum..she is doing pretty good.
-Tanya
rtanya, i started slim in six a few weeks ago and eventually stopped. i did the siu for a week and moved onto the riu. i just went back to slim in six yesterday and i went back to siu just to be able to easily move up to riu. i still haven't even looked at biu (i think im too scared to). i have been looking at the bb forum and its so motivating i love looking at all the progress everyone makes.
i have a question for anyone,
how do you decide how much carbs, fat and protein. i was doing a low carb, but when i do that, it lowers my overall calorie intake and i know we aren't supposed to go below 1200 cals after exercise and everything. so im stuck and don't know what my limits are. if anyone can help me out i would appreciate it.
thanks,manar
