Hi Sandy,
I got your email and have replied. Keep pushing play!
Any encouragement would be great! Or a buddy who is also just starting.
Glad everyone is enjoying it so much. I loved it when I was doing it. I'm excited to start again!!!
P.S. I know I don't need to stress about how many calories are being burned...but how are other people logging SI6?
~Kim
Hi Kim,
I have a heart monitor that counts calories burned for me based on my age, height and weight. For RIU, my calories burned vary from 300 to 325. I start BIU on Monday so I don't how many I'll burn with it, but it's a very challenging workout so I'm thinking I'll burn about a hundred calories more.
I encourage you to visit my other SI6 thread here and the teambeachbody threads. I have a thread there also.
Good luck with your fitness goals! I got your mail and sent you a reply.
KPP!

Hi,
I just started SIU last night. I'm on my second day and very excited. The best time for me to do SI6 is at night a couple hours after dinner between 8 and 9. I need to get to sleep right after but I'm confused about eating something after I'm done. Reading the materials it says to eat post-exercise but also not to eat right before bed. What should I be doing?
I just had my first day of RIU! WOW - I forgot what a butt-kicking routine that is!!!! Literally butt-kicking - the part on the floor BURNS!!!!! It felt so good to do it. I'm so excited to do it tomorrow!
Syrah - I'm not sure what to tell you. I tend not to exercise at night, so I've never really worried about it. I personally don't like to eat before bed.
I would say, if you're hugry, eat something. If you're not hungry don't. I know...not helpful...but honestly, just listen to your body. It will tell you what it needs.
Good luck with your next day of SI6!
Hi Syrah,
You shouldn't eat at least 3 hours before you go to bed. So my advice is not to eat after you workout at night.
Congratulations on starting SI6!
Kimberly
Thanks for the responses Kim and Kimberly. I've moved my routine to the extremely early morning. I've been doing SI6 for 2 weeks now and very pleased. SIU for 5 days and on my 3rd day of RIU. I can't wait to get through the 6 weeks. I'm already recommending it to my friends. I'm finally losing weight and feel great!
I am curious as to how to log everything. Thabks!
SIU ?
RIU - Kimberly mentioned 300-325
BIU ?
Slim and 6 pack ?
Slim and Limber ?
Hi Syrah,
If you're recommending SI6 to your friends, don't forget to tell them to go through my site when they order it!![]()
The calories burned really depends on your height, weight an age. I set my heart monitor with my personal settings. For BIU, depending on my intensity, it was 322 when I wasn't feeling well (low leg front kicks and not going down as far in my squats lunges and plies) and 437 when I was giving it 100%. for 6 pack and S&L I burned about 40-45 calories each for those.
I'm glad you're doing so well with SI6! It totally changed my body. Did you see my before and after pics?
I'm on Week 3, Day 6, this time around. I missed one day last Saturday, so I'll have to make that up. I'm on BIU right now. It's a tough workout, but gives awesome results!
KPP!

I just finished Ramp It Up for the first time in like 8 months, I skipped Start it up since Ive done it so many times, will probably regret that tommorow.
But man, that was tough! I feel great though ,and am pumped to do it again tommorow!
Keep pushing play everyone! These videos REALLY work when you stick to them, and it doesn't take long to start seeing results, just stick with it!
Hi Tashagee!
Congratulations on starting SI6 again! I'm on my second round. I started a thread here called "Starting SI6 3/17/08 please join me". Please feel free to post there too, if you want!
Today is Week 4, Day 5 for me. The videos do work. My before and after pics from my first round are in my gallery if you want to see.
KPP!

Okay, so I"m totally new to this. What is slim in 6 and what is SIU. And how to I get to your other thread? I'm such a newbie - thanks for your help.
Hi vcacherylr,
Slim in 6 is a 6 week structured workout routine. It is designed for quick results and is an extremely challenging program. There are 3 phases and SIU or Start it Up is Phase 1.
If you click on my picture and then my gallery in my profile, you can see my 6 week results. I will be finishing my second round this Sunday and I hope to have lost another 13 pounds during this round!
To find other SI6 threads, go to forums and type in Slim in 6, in the search box. If you have any more questions, you can send me a message!
Good luck with your fitness goals!
Kimberly
Hello ladies! I'm glad to be talking to some fellow slim&sixers :) I have done this program in the past and now I am on BIU. I do the routine just about every day maybe taking 1-2 days off a week, but I usually go to the gym or at the very least I do Slim & 6 pack when I take days off.
****So here's what I need your advice on... I haven't lost any weight, I have very bad nighttime eating habits, and I have lost the diet plan that goes along with S&6; since I purchased the program in 2004. Would anyone be willing to email the 6 day diet express program, and the general nutrition guide to me? Or offer some tips to curb nighttime eating? It's like I can't go to bed until I'm completely full???? What is that about?
Please help me, I'm heavier than ever and I'm doing BIU pretty much everyday, I know it's my eating habits.
I saw your post about how many calories were burned in Ramp it Up, and Slim & Limber. That's neat that you have the heart monitor to figure it out. Do you know how many calories burn it up burns? Haha that just sounded funny! Lots I hope :) Good luck, sounds like you're doing awesome!
Thanks,
Keri
Hi lyric,
If you contact teambeachbody com customer service and ask them for the diet plan and other info, they will send you a pdf file with the info!!
I burn about 425 calories doing BIU, giving it 99%. But I'm older, and the older you are, the fewer calories you burn.
As far as the eating, you shouldn't eat 3 hours before you go to bed! It's really a matter of willpower and like any addiction, it can be a difficult habit to break. The tools on this website as far as the burn meter and eat meter, are invaluable tools that have helped me with my success.
My advice would be to find out how many calories you are supposed to eat to lose weight, based on the info given to you on this website. Then plan your calories that you're going to eat, in advance. If you like eating your calories at night, then eat accordingly during the day. Have a 200 calorie breakfast and a 200 calorie lunch, a couple of 50 calorie snacks, and that will still give you about 1000 calories that you can save up and eat at bedtime. It's not the smartest way to go, but you would still lose weight.
It's harsh to say, but you can workout everyday, but if you're eating more calories than you're burning, you will not lose weight. The shape of your body will change and that's about it.
I'm not sure if I helped or not. Sorry. Good luck with your fitness goals!
Kimberly
