Anyone doing SLIM IN 6?
Hi AnnHelen! yes, I started today with Start it Up. It is only 25 minutes and even though I worked up a sweat, it wasn't that bad. I fell off a bike at the end of April (lol and they say you never forget how to ride them - HA) I sprained my wrist and so doing the push-ups was a bit painful. My back is a bit achy from doing the crunches, but since I had been working on the elliptical at the gym for about a month, for 45 minutes 5 days a week, my legs are okay. I am not following her diet plan since I discovered www.dietitian.com and have devised my own Meal Plan. Since starting on my own meal plan a week after I sprained my wrist and started using the elliptical, I have lost 8 pounds already but I, too, have the jiggly stuff I'd like to get rid of and this tummy bulge, which I'm sure is that other 20 pounds I want to lose! I think I'll do the Start it Up tomorrow and then see how the Ramp it Up goes from there. I am exchanging my time at the gym every day so I can give Si6 my best effort! Otherwise I don't know when I'd do it Since i start work between 4 and 4;30 in the morning and work until suppertime, i don't do much of anything after supper other than I do need to walk to Dollar General this evening. My motivation is just wanting to tone up my body for my 'boyfriend' ... :o). Catch ya later!
HEY!
i really wanted to do the slim in 6 but dont want to pay so much for it. Is anybody not using theirs willing to sell or give theirs away?
Thanks
cas049 you might check on ebay or craigslist or maybe someone here will respond. I was a bit surprised to find shipping and handling charges because they never mentioned that to me, either on the phone when I placed my order or on the infomercial. The 'free' upgrade on shipping was to get the order sooner and I misunderstood and thought that meant free shipping. I wonder if this is available at public libraries?
I just did day #2 of Start it up. My back is still a bit sore because of the crunches but I know it is only temporary as long as I keep using those muscles. I think I will do Start it Up the rest of this week, and then do Ramp it Up starting next week.
AnnHelen - were you able to get started? Even if you are delayed getting started because of your painting, just remember Start it Up is only 25 minutes!
Well, I need to get to work now! Keep me posted!
Glad to hear you're still going strong on day 2 ronna. I am on day 7, starting Ramp it up this evening. I decided to start doing something else in the morning (since just thinking about going running makes me want to stay in bed..) -- this morning I tried the Cardio Core and oh boy was that a work out. I might try alternating with the Slim in 6-Pack.
FYI this is my second time starting. I did it once before back in 04 and got great results (i believe I did SIU for 2 weeks/RIU 2 weeks/and then at the end of the 4th week, I was in the middle of BIU and I was like 'screw this!' in a moment of weakness) which is what motivated me to actually buy the whole thing all over again since I lost everything. Another thing that I think will help is my boyfriend is working out/eating healthy now too! We drink Silk, eat 5x a day... I'm so ready to lose this fat! :)
One last thing, Ronna. My back hurts also when I do crunches and especially any ab exercises that use legs - my suggestion is to PULL your stomach muscles in even more. Hopefully that helps!
thanks for the tip about pullng my stomach muscles in more! I take tips to heart!
I hired a personal trainer a few months ago when I was starting to workout at the local community center, and one tip she gave me when doing the stationary bike or the eliptical was to push wtih my heels instead of my toes, and to squeeze my butt cheeks (not her words, mine!) and pull in my abs at the same time.
Congrats on deciding to start up 2nd time! Keep us posted on your journey.
Okay. Now I gotta get back to work!
Hey Ronna,
Yeah I did two days of start it up....pretty sore....especially in my thighs! Today I did the Ramp it up...not too bad, but I have a weak lower back and I have to really tuck and sometimes modify the exercises. I am hoping that will only get better as I get stronger. I wasn't able to keep up rep for rep on the ramp it up, but that will come in time too. I am trying the diet #2 with the Express in 6....not to bad yet. Just finished and have a softball game at 8:30 so in the future I think I will take off the day I have a softball game. Sometimes I'm a slow learner
Talk to you tomorrow! And great job!
Hey,
My name is Serena i am 5'2, 20 years old and I have been doing slim in 6 for a week and a half now! The first few days were horrible and I could barely even walk!! However, a few days later I was fine again, and every time I do the exercises now I feel no pain at all. So far I have lost 1 1/2 pounds!!! Now weighing at 137 pounds.....my goal is to reach 130 pounds by july 25. After I had my daughter ( whom is now 8 months) I weighed about 178 pounds!!! It was very hard on me. But because I wanted to lose weight so bad I exercised 3 mins a day and cut back on calories. I decied to do slim in 6 to rid my extra body fat from being pregnant!!! So far I have noticed my belly feels tigher and I feel great!!! I hope this works for me!!!!!! I took before photos of myself a and I am going to post the after ones when I finish week six....I will also post some pics when I was 178 to show everyone that cutting calories and increasing activity levels DO make a difference!!!!! Wish everyone luck on the slim in 6 program!!!!!! :):D
Serena!!!!!!!!
Hello and how are you...Im needing help....can you please send me the diet plan for slim in 6,....I have to get going on this...Thank you soooooooooooooo much...Maria Singh
Started Ramp It Up! on Friday, took Sunday off. I like this one! I'm sore, but it's a GOOD sore! Gonna continue RIU and then go to Burn it Up. I am so awkward, though, but hoping this will improve my balance somewhat! Glad to be doing this in the privacy of my own home. I do miss using the eliptical during the day but I'll get back to that mid-July. How is everyone else doing so far?
Maria - I'd be more than happy to email you the diet plan but you need to let me know what part you mean as I wll be scanning it and will have to email it to you.
UPDATE: The only thing I'm doing differently since I started Slim In 6 is NOT going to the gym and using the ellipitical for 45 minutes 5 days a week. I'm eating the same nutritious foods that I have been for months. I've been awfully faithful with SI6 but maybe I'm not "pushing" hard enough or something because the 8 pounds that I had lost before IS BACK. And I actually feel more jiggly than before. Ugh! I'm gonna put SI6 on the back burner for now and get back to the gym. I've been with SI6 for only 2 weeks and I am pretty disappointed - I wasn't expecting to get toned or see much weight loss after just 2 weeks but I didn't expect to GAIN back the 8 pounds I had lost GRRRRR. My game plan now is to lose that 8 pounds AGAIN and lose another 12 and THEN I will hit SI6 to see about toning up.
Hi all! I'm super new here, just bought the dvd pack straight after i saw the infomercial on tv, should be here in 4 days. Im so thankful to found this thread, hopefully it will motivate me to lose my weight!
I gained 14 pounds (my jeans size went 1,5 -2 size up) for the past 3 months... out of stress, was doing my thesis and i ended up eating 1 pint of ice cream every day straight for 2-3 weeks plus i had visitors non-stop so i've been eating out almost everyday. (now it's time to pay for all the sins i made oh...) I just "finally" joined a gym and hire a personal trainer to help me lose my weight, it;s been going on for 2,5 weeks now... (meet twice a week)
i lost 3 pounds already on the first week and half (but thats also because i cut down sugar and try to eat less portion) but since then my weight seems kind of stuck there... and i can feel my thighs are getting harder (muscles forming)
i'm really scared that i will gain more weight because of the muscles, since i'm quite short in height (5'1) my goal is just to go back to my normal weight as first priority.
Will the Si6 help me to lose weight at all? or will it only form muscles & lose inches? I was thinking about doing the crash-fast-diet before doing Si6, but kind of scared since it's not a healthy option. Sorry for the questions, since i'm not used to working out/taking care of what i eat. This is gonna be my first time ever to diet. So please if anyone have any suggestions, thank you so much! (sorry for the looooong post) ^_^
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum.![]()
I'm currently on my second week of Slim in 6. I started with BIU right off the bat.
While I feel I'm doing great with the program, I have one question needing to be answered:
When Debbie says "Squeeze it out at the top" during the knee-together squats, what exactly does she mean? Where should I shift my weight?
hey everyone, I'm hoping you will all accept me to this forum :)
I am just about to start Slim in 6 for the first time today!! I'm hoping it's going to work and I am going to see results! I had a baby 16 months ago and still not back into the shape I would like to be in. I am 25, 5'4, and 128 pounds, I am hoping to shed a few pounds but I would be happy with just toning my stomach, thighs, and butt!!
I am looking foward to hearing about everyone's journey with this!!!
Hi everyone! I started SI6 last Wednesday for the 1st time. Did SIU for 3 days and then moved on to RIU. I plan on doing that until it seems too easy for me.
I haven't worked out since having my second child 3 1/2 years ago, and my body has gotten totally out of shape. It has reached the point that I'm ashamed to look at myself in the mirror. I'm committed to doing this program (along with using an elliptical machine) so that I can be a healthy example for my children.
I'm 35, 5' 6" and weigh 168 lbs. Prior to having my second child, I worked out 7 days a week, and weighed 130 lbs.
I don't plan on doing the diet plan from SI6. I've decided to use WW instead.
I'm not looking for a miracle here, just a healthy change.
Can you please send me some information about the SI6
basic food plan; ect.
thank you![]()

hello all,
i am online so late this evening to decide if i want to order slim in six. I honestly want to lose weight and seeing the commercials on late night tv really makes me feel motivated.
i guess i was wondering if anyone could tell me how much weight they lost and in what time frame. i was thinking of getting this to incorporate into my daily cardio routine.
i have gained a ton of wieght in the last few years and quite honestly have become ashamed of what i am. ive let it go to the point where it almost seems hopeless, but i cant stay like this. I am completely unhappy being chubby or borderline fat. Plus i have told my husband that i refuse to start trying to have children while i am carrying all this extra weight. Aside from the health side effects, can you imagine how i will feel after having a baby and having to start from there?
my friend ordered tubo jam and i am wondering what you all think about the two methods.
last thing, i have noticed that people on here have made weight loss buddies. anyone interested in being mine? I hate talking to most of my friends about this due to the fact they are thin and gorgeous and orobably wont understand where i am coming from.
thanks guys, any help or support youcan offer would be great. good luck to all of you who are already on your way.
So I went on a fabulous vacation and then graduated from college and moved back home...which means home cooking and lots of treats around (my mom loves to bake)...so consequently I gained about 10lbs without even realizing it. Now I'm trying to fit in my old pants....
So I'm going on my 3rd week of SI6 with friends and I haven't seen any results. I mean sure I hurt the first week, so I guess I am getting stronger...but in the weight and inches department, I have seen no progress! :o( Am I just being too impatient?? I don't want to keep doing something that's not going to work...
Also, I got the DVD's secondhand and did not receive the diet information. Because of that, I've just been following my own diet--eating lots of fruit and (some) veggies ;oP and keeping my calorie intake at 1500 or below. I don't know if that would have an impact, but I've heard that as long as you keep your calorie intake below what you burn, you should lose weight...so am I being too impatient, or am I doing something wrong?
In the past, I have had some good results using an eliptical, but I saw the SI6 commercial and was amazed at the results. So now I'm debating whether to stick it out or just switch to running and elipticals?
Ahh! someone give me some advice! lol. Thanks!
I just finished Week 1 of SIU and am going to move to RIU tomorrow. I already feel better and stronger and am hoping I can stick with the program so that I can see results. I can already tell that this program will be a great way to get stronger and get ready for skiiing, with all those lunges and squats. The only problem I forsee is the time commitment. It is summer and I like to hike and bike, so getting in another 46 minutes is kind of a stretch, but I am willing to give it a try. I am also looking at the Ten Minute Trainer by Beachbody, where 2 10 minute workouts a day target specific areas. I think I've mostly got my cardio covered, it is the strength training I am looking for.
msujenny: I am surprised you are not getting results, and am not sure what to tell you. I believe the program calls for SIU for 2-6 days, then RIU for 6 days, then BIU for 4 weeks, although people are modifying the program to fit their fitness level. Maybe you just have too little to lose? :) At any rate, good luck with the routine that works for you.
I am glad I found this thread, as RIU approaches, I get a little nervous about being able to stay the course and I am glad to fin others who are doing this program.
As they say, "keep pressing play!"
Can anyone please mail the diet plan to me, I know it works, I had done it a few years ago.
I loaned my excercise kit to a new-mom who wanted to loose the baby weight, but she has misplaced my diet guide book while making the new nursery for the kid.
I want to start SI6 again, please help----- this is a call for help :)
If you would be kind enough to mail it, I would sincerely appreciate it...if not all can you just mail the Plan 1/ Healthy Balanced diet thingie.
