I found Slim  in  6  to be great for toning, it is not dreadfully hard to do. I did the 6 weeks and found my self toned!  I looked great, I did the Slim and Six pack daily too which made my abs look decent.  I have not done this in about 2 years now but would love to start it again, that is if i can get my girls to nap at the same time!  Anyone doing it, or about to start it?  I am ready for the 6 week challenge.  I am eager to start but fear not following through... I know it works!  I have seen results firsthand!  I need a buddy!

I just woke up after my busy night (we came bacK around 4 a.m.). I must say I was a pretty good girl. I ate only the healty food from my plate, like vegetables and fish. That is until the cake....I'm sorry to tell you, girls, but it looked so good that I coulnd't resist it! I ate it all (I mean the piece in front of me, not the entire cake - LOL) and therefore I ended up around 2000 cals yesterday. I'm sure I am still under the number of calories I burned (with 90 min of BIU and the preparations for the party and the intense dancing), but it doesn't feel too good to eat so much food. But the party was really nice...

To change the subject, I am really looking forward for another BIU exercise today. This time is harder to keep up with Debbie's rythm, but somehow I manage to do that.

Have a wonderful day!
Worry not about the 2000 cal, monix :) I have my shares (note the plural) of 2000cal days myself ^__^
I feel it is actually do you good to do that once in a while to shake your metabolism a bit.

Went back to do BIU this afternoon with additional stretching session. My calories today is on the low end (that is slightly over 1000) It's 1am now, we're watching TV show (hubby doing his nightly push ups...), and I'm trying to bump up my protein intake (half of my toast with 4 egg whites & cheese still sitting on the plate). I feel physically full at the moment. But I hope to finish it in a while.

Tomorrow morning another BIU.
Thanks for the encouragement. Unfortunately, I think I'm paying my night out. My stomach hurts so bad that I can't believe it! In fact it's not the stomach, it's the muscle-  cramps (is this an English word?). They seem to appear after I have something to eat, no matter what. I had to struggle real hard to finish my BIU today and I also missed a few reps there due to this stupid pain! If it goes on, tomorrow I'll visit my doctor.

Well, girls, I did go to the doctor since the pain did not give up. He told me I manage to get an colitis as a result of an infection (due to a bacteria or something). He put me on a diet (lol) and gave me an antibiotic prescription. The issue is that I am not allowed to eat fruits and/or vegetables. Just meet, some sorts of cheese and other dry foods. I wonder how am I to mix my two goals for the diet. Of course I am determined to stick to my BIU exercise, even though I'm not feeling well!

But now I have to tell you the good news as well! I manage to fit into my "honey moon" jeans (I bought them during my honey moon, while I was 12 lbs lighter then I am right now).  Due to all exercises my body looks different...This was my first objective. The second one is to fit into the jeans I bought one month prior to meeting my husband (more then 20 lbs down from now on) - my absolute low in terms of weight.

Oh man!  Sorry to hear you are not feeling well-at least you were able to get to a Dr and get some answers!

Congratulations to you on getting into your jeans!!! Isn't that the best feeling!!

I will be starting day 5 of RIU today.  I do absolutely fine until about 30 mns into it when we do the floor exercises and do all the leg lifts and it feels like my thighs and butt muscles are just going to explode.  But everyday is a new day and hopefully I will be able to finish the whole segment through!  I am enjoying this though I have to say!
Jamie, the first few days of RIU were just awfull for the same point reason: legs and but exercises.  But I took waterphoenix's advice (a few pages behind) to change the leg every time she changes the exercise (alternate them). After a few days I was able to do two exercises in a raw with the same leg and I ended up doing all of them. Now, with BIU I'm aplying more or less the same technique.

Thanks for your nice words. This story is going to be a very good lesson for me... No more cakes until I reach my goal...(LOL)
Wow, I take a few days off and what happens?? Geepers!

I hope you're feeling better monix...

Jamie - yep the leg lift bit is the toughest. Feels awesome when you get it done, though, doesn't it??

I tell myself, "How else am I ever going to get this kind of exercise throughout the day?" It helps to remind me it's only for a short time, then all done. And voila! long lean leggies. (One day!)

Cheers everyone!

Ren :D
You gals are doing great!  I must admit to all you that I  took 2 days off... oops!  I was crammed for time and sleep was a major issue, actually had a sitter for the girls and hubbie was out of state at his reserve unit so I was all alone... and took advantage of it... I slept!  Felt good to have had 8 hours sleep prior to a 12 hour overnight shift!  Ahhh!

I just did a pretty intense RIU, had my 2 lb ankle weights on, figured I could turn it up a notch since I slacked this past weekend.  I actually did the leg lifts, I generally turn it off at that point and go to Six Pack.  That was a struggle with the weights but (or should I say BUTT)  it felt awesome when I completed that segment!  My abs are getting there, not all that pretty with that extra baby skin , but the muscles are getting ripped!  What can you do with that skin, other than a tummy tuck?  Live with it I guess, until the next little kiddo is growing in there!

I started a colon cleanse, I had some problems with constipation even with my increase in ewater and fiber, it just wasnt right... anyhow this morning is the first day of 10... I have to avoid fats and processed stuff, and sugars... eat lots of fruit and veggies.  I timed it just right so that I should be done on Valentines Day!  I am hoping to indulge on something lavish!
monix - Way to go! Fitting into old jeans is no longer just a commercial taglines we all keep hearing, right? ~.^ It can be a reality for sure! ^__^
Sux to hear you got some infection. I know you are all fired up now, bit remember to take it ez with the workout. Reserve some energy for your body to heal :)

jamie - for me leg lifts are hard because it put some strain on the knees. Take a break if you need, even just for 1-2 counts will help prolong your endurance while doing it. You won't loose any benefit, in fact since you able to continue with more energy, it will do you more good.

aly - I took a break too from SI6 ^_^; You know what though, usually it is the day after the off-day that I will feel the difference in my body. The muscles get to recover, built, and some fat got shrunk during that process. Of course, no slacking allowed :p Now, back to SI6 again today, baby! ^_^b
hi ladies. hope you all had a good weekend. looks like everyone is doing awesome. i am sad to report that i took the whole weekend off from si6 and i ate terribly! it's all good though. i started my si6 again today. it felt really good to do it and i burned major cals according to my heart monitor. maybe because i took a few days off? or maybe because it was hotttt! good to be back.
Actually it is good to take a break a day or two from the same routine. Basically, if you keep doing the same thing every day, your body will build a resistance. It will adapt and prepare itself to that routine so the result would decrease. Taking a break is important to avoid this resistance. Your muscle will not disappear during the 2 days break. And when you go back to the routine, your now relax and well rested muscle will get a good 'shock' again, thus working almost as hard as the first time you work out, as the result you are burning more calories.

Those who works out everyday, have to increase the intensity of the workout periodically, or changing the routine, in order to stimulate the muscle and to always get the optimum calories burn/result.

BIU today (Planned to do RIU plus cardio, but not enough time tonight. Got plans for dinner).
Thank you girls for your nice words and thoughts.

The results of my diet and exercise routine convinced one of my colleagues that Si6 is efficient. She will soon join our team! I know for sure that she will start Si6, I hope I will convince her to create an account for this site as well. So you see, I'm recruiting for our small community (LOL).

Another day of BIU... It's really difficult, you know? Tomorrow I'll have my day off. I deserve it!
Hi all, I have been thinking about getting SI6 for a few days and found your posts and have a question if you don't mind, How do you think this compares to The Firm package? I have the recent Firm pack but as a novice I get very frustrated trying to keep up with it.I read there is a DVD with SI6 that teaches the moves first do you think that would be something helpful to stay motivated when you start?
Hi wydeven - Gauging your fitness level and what entails in the DVD workout both equally important to stay motivated. If it's too difficult you going to frustrate yourself or injure yourself. If it's too easy you will get bored and wont reap enough benefit from the workout.

The nice thing about the SI6 package is it has 3 steps. Each steps is built to increase your fitness level until you hit the Last Step of 60 minute fast pace routine. The movements are simple and consistent throughout the 3 steps, with added variations as you move up the step.

Sorry, don't mean to sound like a sales LOL. But I like this routine. It is flexible enough that I can switch between step 1 and 2 depending on my schedule.

Oh wth, I;m just gona say this: Come! Join us! ^__^
wydeven- if you want to take a second and read through the posts in this SI6 forum you will get a pretty good idea of what it is all about.     There is a pretty motivated group of people here that have committed to it and it motivates us to post our results, our trials and even our failures here knowing that we have support!  It is a great program that will give you results if you can commit to the 6 weeks.  I am seeing major changes and I am on day 18.   Join us!

I am going to start BIU in a few days.  I am preparing myself mentally!  Ladies I am so impressed with my results so far!  I wish I could fast forward and see my final results... I cant wait.
thanks for the feedback! I have read many of the posts, I think that I am going to invest in it it sounds like what I am looking for and with the motivation on just these posts I am encouraged!! Thanks alot
aly, im going to join you today for RIU, plus some cardio. So, when are you going to post progress pics, eh? ~.^
I plan on putting pics in quite soon, just have to find a swim suit that I plan on wearing on vacation so I can see the difference between now and May!
just stopping in for some motivation before my biu.

aly- i need to do some before and afters too! except my bathing suit tops are overflowing due to the new baby. maybe i will just have to do some undie and bra shots. boy would that be brave.
