Anyone else dreaming about food?
I keep having food dreams everynight. Most of the time I don't remember them thank God but I do remember eating really good creamy , rich food and in my sleep it's waking me up moaning as i'm eating the yummy food. LOL How embarrassing. It makes me really hungry by the time I finally wake up fully. I wake up feeling like I am starving many mornings.
Anyone else having food dreams?
I'm constantly dreaming and thinking about food. Curries, pasta, bread, potatoes, chicken kievs, salad, yorkshire puddings, sunday roast, dim sum, chocolate cake...basically everything i can't have. It's awful - roll on Friday (my day off dieting) :-)
Me too. I don't tell myself that I cannot have something. Everything within moderation however I so want to have a binge day. I just want to eat as much of something as I want until I am full but that's not possible if I want to keep up what i'm doing to lose weight. I'm the hungriest when I go to bed so that may be part of it too.
But i'm dreaming like you rich things, pot roast, chocolate, cakes, cookies, rich gravey and mashed potato, potato salad, creme brulee, pasta, breads, omg i'm so hungry right now LOL>
I better stop or it will be twinkies chasing me with carrots like swords. tee hee
I am now always thinking of food
which annoys me cos then I feel hungry
I'm really hungry now i've mentioned all that stuff. Ah well salad for lunch :-(
i had a dream last night about the opposite trying not to eat to much to try and lose weight. So i guess that still qualifies as dreaming about food. If daydreams count than some days I am off the charts and it is hard to keep from reacting to the impulses in the daydreams.
yep, i dream about food pretty often. Vivid dreams too, and during the dream I feel guilty for eating all the pastries and donuts and other awesome foods I don't eat anymore (not because I'm restricting, but because they're so full of terrible things and no nutrients). But I gotta say, I wake up feeling satisfied, like I really did eat them, and the guilty feeling in the dream goes away completely when i realize it didn't happen. I love those dreams!
yeah that sucks, i have always had problems with food, some times i cant stop thinking bout food but then i realize is just a mind game .... so i play it and instead of trying to stop thinking about it i just stop for 1 minute and think about it and get over with it .... then i move on. it kinda works.
So I've never had dreams about food, but I think about it all of the time. I sometimes wonder if my bf gets annoyed with me talking about food incessantly.
I never stop thinking about food, i think it is my biggest problem! Even when im not hungry im thinking what is about its so frustrating!!
I just try and think about something else,, but it is veryy hard!
I'm so glad I posted this thread. I am amazed at how many other people think about food all the time or dream about food. I remember many moons ago when I was about 102 lbs I thought of food all the time. I don't know that this will ever go away for me even if I can lose all this 170 lbs of mine.
It's very annoying I have to agree to live your life constantly thinking about food. I remember though times when I would keep myself busy or was having fun doing something it helped not think about food as much.
I wonder what a life without food thoughts would be like. Maybe one day in heaven or wherever it is we go when we die maybe it will stop and there will be this overwhelming sense of peace and contentment. The food thought demon will be gone LOL ![]()
I can totally relate! Though I don't really dream about food lately, I do daydream about it. I find myself walking up and down the grocery store aisles, looking at all the food and imagining how it tastes. If I can discreetly examine the nutrition label, I do that too! LOL.
Yeah. I have binging dreams all the time. So relieved when I wake up. I also have starving dreams.
It sucks.
I WISH I was dreaming about the food. But no it's my obsession from the time I get up to the time I go to sleep. I can't even count how many times I have over ate this week over my maintenance. :/ So just be glad it's a dream and not the real thing! Ha Ha.
This happens to me all the time! I have dreams that I'm stuffing my face with junk food and then I wake up in a panic. It always takes me a few minutes to calm down and realize that I was just "dream eating", haha!
I dream about foods I can't afford...Mostly seafood. Shrimp, lobsters, muscles, and red snappers. Must...stop...om nom nom nom.
Every minute of every day.....LOL. I am obsessed with food weather I'm awake or asleep. That has been my biggest problem my entire life! It is said that some people eat to live and some live to eat. Well, obviously, I'm the latter. Any pointers for me to get my mind off of FOOOOD!!!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I don't have them all the time, and I don't usually wake up hungry, but I do wake up feeling guilty! I have dreams that I eat like 8 cinnamon buns or like 4 pieces of chocolate cake with chocolate icing (my favorite haha) and then I wake up like REALLY worried that it wasn't a dream and I actually ate all of this bad food, but I realize that it didn't actually happen and I don't feel guilty anymore.
I definitely thought I had like some sort of problem or something that I was dreaming about food! It's a relief that others do this too!
