Heyyy I feel the same way!  Right now my arms are sore, and i'm stoked! haha

There's nothing more refreshing to me then to have sore muscles when I wake up. >w<

Though, I must say, I'm not a particular fan of soreness that lasts in the same place for more then 2 days, and soreness that makes it so you can't really move that area much. @_@

the only thing I hate is when my butt is sore!

yeah that can really suck kankan. i just started incorporating going backwards on the elliptical machine and it killed my butt and like right below it! i was sore for like 4 days. i still kinda am. but it lets you know that your working your muscles and part of being fit and active! =)))

The soreness felt after your first class of indoor cycling is horibble :S It becomes uncomfortable to sit down for a couple of days

I'm usually with you, with the exception that sore abs + running = torture.  =/

I love feeling sore, it means I was doing something right! If I'm not sore the day after I workout then it means I definitely wasn't working out hard enough. I always feel like I'm getting stronger whenever I'm sore. Its weird, but I love it. :)

yes! i love it! this morning I did a "muscle max" class at my gym and by the end of it my arms were aching... already can feel i'll be sore tomorrow... but a little stronger :)

Before I moved to the suburbs (we moved this summer) we lived WAY out in the country, with hills and back roads and tons of places to ride a bike.  I'd go on power rides daily; I'd feel SO energized and my muscles would burn after a ride.

It was the best feeling ever.

But now I just have to settle for walks.

I FEEL YOUR PAIN....lol.....but really ;)

I love a good burn after a workout....I love the burn in my hamstrings after squats, or the tingling in my legs after my 6 am Thursday mornings spin class :)

I agree with everyone that it's then that I know I got a good workout and have challenged myself.  I'm a firm believer in muscle confusion, and changing workout routines regularly, so there really shouldn't be any reason I wouldn't be sore after trying new things all the time :)

yes but I shouldn't because I know its not a good thing. I run a few times a week (and walk quite a bit) and now after I run normally for like 35 minutes, I'm finished and sometimes everything hurts, from my feet to my knees and my leg muscles, the muscles are okay but I'm scared about the knee part. I worked at new balance in the summer and I've gotten proper shoes for my gate (supportive) but I'm not sure why it still always hurts. So i've gotten into the habit of stretching for wayyy longer afterwards because I dont want to mess my body up so I cant run when I'm 25 or something (im 19 btw)

No, I totally know what you mean!

I keep on telling my wife, it's just- I can't fully explain it- there is this tremendous feeling of accomplishment when I'm sore for a day or two after a good workout.  I feel each of my movements, and it's gratifying to know that those muscles are resting, repairing, getting stronger, and maybe even growing a little.

Get the same feeling after aceing a test.

Pain is okay, and pretty much unavoidable once you decide to pass up a certain level of activity- just remember, joint pain is really bad, you want the slow soreness in your muscles, not in your joints.  I liken it to fire- if you're on fire, that's bad, but if you've got some gently glowing embers going (and not in the joints!) then you're in a good place.

I suppose I should add that this applies to weight training- and Stretching afterwards is the thing that makes the pain happy instead of horrible. :)
