Anyone else NOT feeling stimulated?

This is totaly not the thread you expected.  I am actually venting my confusion over the stimulus payments being issued. I was scheduled to receive mine today and was anxiously awaiting. Alas, the 9th is here and no moolah in my account. I double checked my qualifictions and I don't know what the issue is. The online sight says mine is not even scheduled yet! My daughter's birthday on the 21st depends on it.

Of course there is no way to get a person on the phone to help me! Anyone else experience this issue??? I'm optimistic, but frustrated.

Sorry you have not received your payment yet.  I am waiting as well.  Sorry to say but glad to hear I am not alone.

I just checked my account on line and I've been stimulated. Ooooooh I feel so good about filling up my gas tank from my own tax money.

lol I got 1 payment - but I don't know if it's mine, hubby's, or both together (we weren't married when we filed, so it should be theoretically 2 separate payments).  I work for the guv'ment, I should know you can't depend on us for nuthin'

That said, irs.gov has the most helpful and informative guv'ment website :)  Usually they're more on top of things than most.

I got mine yesterday 1 day early.

I'm not getting one.

I'm 23, and this was the last year my Mom could claim me as a dependent, so she did. Because I'm over 17 though, she won't get any money at all for me.

I'm screwed, basically. I had to pay taxes this year, made over $3,000, but I won't get my money from the stimulus program.

I just read the above link I did not file using Turbo Tax. I used Tax Cut and my federal and state filing was free. But I have heard before that link that those who used Turbo Tax ended up getting a paper check instead of DD.

Having the government stimulate me....Ew!

I did file with Turbo Tax, with direct deposit, and my $600 showed up today in my account.

I'm glad people responded to this. I feel a little better. I filed with TaxAct and my fees were deducted from my refund. Can't imagine that would be the reason for the delay. My main complain, I guess, is that there is no way to speak to a human to ask why.

j-snyder, On a kinder note...I have always had a good experience with the IRS, both over the phone and on the website. They USUALLY are very helpful. I guess this is why I am now soured by them. Gads!!! I just can't afford a single thing on my daughter's b-day without it and I am so bummed. She wsa really looking forward to it too.

I am a single mom, working part-time and going to school... with another on the way! If anybody needed that stimulus, I surely did. I drive 45 min each way to school 4 days a week. The government is already getting enough of my money. LOL!!!!!! I know we all can say that.

I am hoping that it is in the mail for you tomorrow and I hope mine is there too.  I have some bills that I would like to get a jump on and...pay more bills....:)....

I'll say a little prayer and maybe we'll all be doing "the happy dance" by Monday!

I got mine in April.  Alex got his earlier this week.  My mother, who should've gotten hers when Alex did, didn't get hers yet which means hers will be mailed to her, and she won't see anything until after June 6th.

Glad I did not spend it before I got it. Although the other day I had to explain to a bunch of high school seniors why they are not eligible for it. They really did not want to believe me. Several already had big plans for the money and could not believe that being claimed as a dependent made them ineligible.

How or in what order are they being disbursed?  Who filed their returns first or what?  My taxes were done around Valentines day and no, haven't gotten mine either.

#17 ha, reminds me of when I got my first child support check and my young teen thought that it was hers to spend.

DO NOT CALL YOUR BANK TO SEE WHERE YOUR STIMULUS CHECK IS!

Two out of three calls the past few days have been people looking for their check.  Your bank is not the IRS.
