Hello. I'm currently 22 years old, 5'9 and 187.8 lbs. I'm looking for someone around the same weight to maybe just help motivate and support me?? Hoping we can do this together. My goal is to get to 162 lbs by my birthday on April 23rd. Anyone interested??

Hi!  I read your profile and I tend to fluctuate around 185-190 as well.   I've kind of been back and forth dieting but I think I'm pretty much ready to take the plunge and get healthy.  I am shorter than you so I'm really feeling the need to lose.  Let me know!

HI again!  I got on the scale this morning at was at 190, but I think that will level off after a day or two of "normal" eating (aka no more New Year parties).  Since about Sept. I've bene stuck around 183. 

My goal is 145 (I'm only 5'3--I got down to about 150 in HS but then gained it all back).  I would love to do this by my bday, too (July 8)--but at this point as long as I'm well on my way that would be wonderful.

I am in the same boat. I am 23 years old and 5'5", and in 2005 after having my daughter, I weighed in at 235, well I lost some of that and my weight plateaued at about 178, but over the last year I have crept up to 188 and it flutuates to 190.  So I decided to jump back in the came.  My goal weight is 160 which may or may not change depending on how I feel when I get closer to it.  I have not yet set a goal date, but my birthday is March 3 and that might be pushing it a little maybe I should try by my husband's birthday June 23.  I would love to be in this group for motivation, it is just what my weight loss program needs to keep me going.
Hey! Cool.. so there are 3 of us now. This should be a little more motivating than doing it alone. We just need to push each other to our goals. I usually write in my journal everyday about the day I had, exercise, calorie, and water goals, etc. You guys should start doing that too. You can really get a lot of inspiration from everyone's comments on your day and such. It really helps.

i'm 49, 5'7.5, large frame, 196 yesterday (bloated - you know the feeling), but 192 last week...my goal is to lose about 50# by my 50th b'day coming May 14....struggling to get by 190. that is a lofty goal i set for myself, but i am worried about my health. i have been up and down all my life, weightwise, that is! i need a lot of help myself. i am very intent on exercise, and am trying my hardest to journal. i think the food log and eat meter are just perfect tools. anyway-good luck in your journey....

I'm 34, 5'4", medium frame, 182 pounds - I was 125 when I got married in 1995, 150 in 2001 and well... I'm ready to change.  I set my goal at 150 by June 1st - no special date, just about 6 months.  I'm brand new here, just stumbled on the site today - I'm hoping to start 2007 with a new attitude towards exercise (which I hate) and food (which I love) - I'd love to be in the group - if you'll have me!

I think I did pretty well yesterday, I stuck to my goals and even got in some ab work.  Hello to our new group members.  I weighed in this morning at 189.5.  I know that is short lived due to TTOM coming up here in the next week or so.  SO I expect to be gaining a few lbs of water weight. 

LoveFam98, as far as exercise goes, you have to find something that does seem like exercise, like dancing, or playing a sport, or any activity that gets your heart rate up that you enjoy.  Have you tried Core Rythyms, it is a latin dance workout.  It is really fun.  They are offering a trial for like $14 but you can buy it to keep for like 10 on Amazon.  But you can always, just gather the family in the living room and get them dancing to the radio.  It is fun, involves every one, and you all get much needed exercise.

I'm Kina, 22 fluctuating in the low 180's and high 170's. My goal weight is around 150 so I think I am in a similar boat to ya'lls. I write in my journal each day, so you can always check out my progress. As of now, its slow, but with the New year here I am all over it. Good luck to you all, and I will be checking with you all frequently.

Cool! Im 27 and in between 185-190. During my time of the month i feel like im 290..but i digress. I would like to be around 150. Im 5'6 but most of my weight is in my stomach and breast.

Hey y'all! I'm 19 years old, 5'11, and 174 pounds. I started out right where most of you are, in the high 180s. My goal is about 140 pounds, so I'm just a little more than a quarter of the way there. Its great to have the support of other women; shaye it sounds like you have similar stats, since we are both tallll. Anyways, good luck to you all! 
I forgot to mention that my birthday is in April, too!
So sad, i weighed this morning and was back up to 193.5.  I think it is most likely water weight since my rings are tight, and they had been falling off.  I am trying to keep positive, and have eaten my weight control oatmeal this morning and will use my elliptical while I watch Days of Our Lives.
That would be a great present if we could reach our goals by our Birthday. It's on!!

jjdhtp, don't worry about the number too much. Just try and work hard.. like you said.. it probably is water weight. Nothing exercise and water can't cure... Good luck!!
Hi!  I'm a newbie (today's my first day) but I'm 32, 5'6 and at 186 as of yesterday.  I would like to get down to 135 but would be happy with 150.

i didn't do fabulously yesterday but i still was eating more like a normal person and not like a holiday-crazed nut, so the scale went down a little.

Hi all! My first time doing anything like this, but good to know there's support!! I'm 37. 5'8" and havent been on a scale but know I'm around the 175-180 range. NEVER had to diet in my life, but the 30's have changed my metabolism terribly. Day 3 of my diet and doing well so far, even if I am hungry
