anyone else 5'3 going from 123 to 103
I need all the motivation in the world and i'm looking out for a buddy. I don't wanna spend another day not fitting in my clothes.
I wanna feel thin, not average, for the first time in my life.
(i dont' wanna offend anybody, but i wanna try to achieve one goal and proof myself I can do anything, if I really want to.)
103 at 5'3 can be perfectly healthy. BMI isn't everything and I think a person would notice when they are getting underweight, with protruding ribs and everything and stop before they got there unless they had an eating disorder. I don't believe it's unreasonable for this person to get down to 103. I'm not 5'3 or a potential weight loss buddy but good luck Hallo![]()
*sneaks in* I'm 5"3 too, I'm now at 117-118, shooting for 106-108... my HW ever was 138 lbs, so I really wanted to change too:) anyways, I'm taking it as little goals, such as reaching 115, then 110, that kind of stuff...anyways, good luck with your weight loss![]()
Edit: changed actual weight range :]

im 5'3 and 95lbs at the moment
i strongly suggest not to lose weight especially since you're metabolism will eventually stop working and you will gain weight the moment you decide to stop "dieting" just remember you could be skinny now but once you get older and your metabolism is even crappier from all the dieting you will gain weight like crazy
you don't have to follow my advice but like i said its just advice
i really suggest not going lower than 108, because youll get a bit thin and ribby most likely. and thats the lowest for a healthy BMI-wise weight.
i weigh 97-100, but since im very small-framed it works. if you feel itd be a comfortable weight for you though, 103 is what you should go for, but stop losing once youre happy.
Remember, the less you weigh, the less you burn. Try adding lean muscle mass when you get to your 103 so you can still have an awesome metabolism.
i know how you feel when you say you want to be better than average, and if you work hard you can get anything you want.
best of luck to you!
edit: if youre a teen, be sure to get plenty of nutrients and vitamins, eating no less than 1800 calories a day. remember youre still growing if youre under 20.

I can attest to that. I know someone who is now in her 50s, had ED when she was young (late teen early 20s) and got really really skinny then. Now, she got all sorts of problem. Her metabolism is whacked, a lot of issue with digestive system and the whole food processing system in her body. She is really a nice person, but she just got a lot of problems with her body now, and in turns it is affecting her beyond physical.
You really have to think ahead. Not just for the moment. It's all good and great if you can drop 20lbs or whatever in a blink of an eye. But to what price? Won't it be nice to be able to enjoy the fruit of the your efforts for years and years to come?
I am not one to say don't go below xx lbs. We do what we like and what we feel best for ourselves. Hopefully our decision lead us to a healthy well-being. Just, keep the future in mind, that's all
Instead of trying to lose weight when you are already at a healthy weight, get into the gym and start lifting weights. You will lose inches, get into those clothes, and have a fantastic looking body!
Forcing your body to get to such a low weight will have extremely bad effects on every organ in your body. It will put a strain on your heart, kidneys, liver, pancreas, and brain....
Why cause physical harm for the sake of a low number on the scale when you can achieve the mirror image you're looking for by building healthy muscle!
Now please don't tell me that you don't want to get bulky and manly look... That just isn't going to happen!
I've been lifting heavy weights since 2 years before dirt was invented and I am hardly bulky or manly! I'm 56 y/o, 129 lbs, 5'3" and wear a size 2! I have a healthy, strong, and tight body...
Step away from the number on the scale and step into the gym's weight room! give it a try, I swear your body will thank you for it :)
I'm your weight and height and I want to do the same by January!!
hi im the same weight as you now although im not heavy, like you i want to feel thin and feel good in my clothes !! sometimes when you are already within your bmi people dont seem to understand why you want to lose the other couple of lbs, my 'vain weight' is 112lbs and i would be very happy at this, i want to lose at least 4lbs before the christmas, finding it hard to get rid of these 4lbs i have been trying for the last few months so now i know i have a deadline i will have to get my ass in gear. it nice to have people here that are in the same boat
we can keep each other motivation and maybe post how we are getting on reguarly?
