I am doing a herbal cleanse this week, it is alot easier to say no to the bad food when it comes with a strickt diet.

These are not recommended for weightloss, but they do help in getting your mind/tummy on the right track.

 140 this morning!

What exactly is an herbal cleanse diet?  Is it when you drink a lot of tea or something like that?
I would like to know about the herbal cleanse. I am 5'5 and 173. My lowest weight was 148 about 3 years ago. I would be thrilled with 145. I have no idea what the heck I would look like at 115. A bag of socks probably.  I would love to keep in touch with all of you at my height. It sounds like I'm the heaviest. Frown Not for long I guess.

these are the supplements I am taking, and the instructions for the diet are all there.

Make sure you take the list with you when you go shopping, really helps.

As for weight at this height, it doesn't matter what the number is.  It is only good to feel great about how you feel a the weight you are comfortable. Laughing

Hey, no worries about being the heaviest.  Everyone's weight just depends on their build and genes.  I was 170 in July and it took me until about the middle of November to get myself down to 155.  Like you I'd be sooooo unhealthy at 115, whereas my best friend is 5'8" and only 120, but is completely healthy (in fact she eats like a horse).  The smallest I've ever been was 125 at 5'1", but I was able to fit in a size 4 since it was almost all muscle.  Personally it's not size or weight that matters to me, but how physically fit I am.  However, fit would most likely be at a smaller size than what I am right now.  And you should be excited because the more you weigh, the more calories you burn when you exercise!SmileYAY!

i've always worried about doing cleanses but i guess i have never really heard anything bad about them.

also, i usually weigh myself fridays but i just couldn't wait today and i lost 2 pounds this week!! YAY

It's the late nights now- I want a snack.

I am doing fine during the day, and right up until my last 'feeding' at 7.

For some reason I get hungry late night and I start justifying, rationalizing.

I might go measure myself to see if I am actually 5'7.

hi everyone,,,,,well i guess i qualify for this group,,hehe, i am 5'5 and right now i weigh 160 lbs on the nose,,,,,my goal is to get around 135 pounds, but believe me, if i get to 140 and the scale doesnt move any farther i will be quite content,,,,,,,,,today is my first day i have used my treadmill in weeks,,,,i just got motivated for some reason,,,i guess i am tired of being unhappy with my body and figure i am the only one who can do something about,,,,i have wonderful support from my hubby,,,,,but would like to meet some weight loss pals here  that are in the same boat!

Cleanses are a personal choice.  Talk to people about them, what their experiences were, talk to the people at the health food store....I made sure I did one that some one I knew had tried before.

Yay! on the 2 lbs this week!!!

Good job everyone, ya'll have such good self control!  I, unfortunately, have regressed a bit.  I gorged the other day.  I was soooo hungry because I got my first real workout in a month and a half, and yeah...it progressed into large amounts of eating.Frown

Don't fret!  Just keep starting on the workout and it will all be good!

 remember to start slow.

I started by just riding the bike for 20 mins, and sometimes that is still all i do.

There will be ups and downs but as long as you keep trying it will all work out in the end.

 Chin up, all is good!

Hey, where did everyone go?
Under a rock! I'm still here, but next week and possibly the one after I will be gone.  Or if I am still on here I might not be coherent due to the large quantities of pain killers I will be on:).  Then I'll be back!!!  So how's everyone doing?  Any losses/gains/standing still...s?  I'm watching some "healthy" show on Food Network right now and she's making pulled pork sandwiches, but they're good for you!  How delicious does that sound?!  I just wish I knew which show this was.

Hi everyone.  I am 28 years old, 5'5 and started just recently at 155 pounds. Kristen, you got a nice group of people here.  I think it's important to have this kind of support from people who have goals similar to yours.  I want to join!

The biggest difficulties for me is eating smaller servings. My husband always thinks that I don't have enough food and tries to feed me.  Sometimes I end up eating the same amount he does or even more (and he is 6'5!).  I have a hard time leaving something on a plate - if it's there I'll eat it all.  When we eat at home I try to serve myself the right amount of food but when we go out I can't stop myself and leave nothing on my plate.  Does anyone have any strategies for dealing with this kind of problem?

I'm only 5'3" and weigh 125, but i'm a flabby 125 and want to get back into shape.  Just looking for some friends to motivate who will motivate me back! :)
Okay yana, I have an idea that a lot people use and know works for me.  If you use a smaller plate you can fill it and tell him "Look, I have a whole plate of food!" and not be so bad, because it really won't be as much.  Since it's a full plate, though, it will still seem like it is a lot. Dee it's great that you want to be toned again.  I think that's one of the biggest problems we probably all have.  And since muscle burns more it's a win win once you start. It'll sound stupid, but a great way to at least tone your stomach is to make yourself sit up straight.  It'll get rid of any flab around the tummy guaranteed.

hi all! i'm 5'5", 169lbs. i'm looking at 140lbs as my goal, hopefully by august/september. i started with CC 4 weeks ago and so far have lost 4lbs...

i must admit i was a bit frustrated with my weightloss as it it's slower than i had expected, considering i "try" to eat healthy and control my portions (except on weekends, when it's really a struggle for me). however, lately, i noticed that my clothes are getting looser...i don't have any serious exercise regime. i just walk to anywhere i need to go to, ie, errands.  i'm just too lazy to exercise!

i'm 5'6" and 156 lbs, and i just joined this site today. my goal is to get into the 130's, as i haven't been that low in about 12 years.

exercise hasn't been so much the problem for me as food has been. i like to eat, and my favorite food of all time is grilled cheese. i've been trying to work on watching my calories more, so this website will be a great help.

i'm 28 years old and have always been very athletic, and that's what kept my weight manageable while in high school and college. post college has been harder, but i really want to get in shape this year before my husband and i try to start a family. i think habits will be easier to keep if i start them now. we've gotten back into weight lifting and i play basketball once or twice a week. i am trying to get back into running, too, but i'm just so slow...

i look forward to reading more from you ladies as we all work towards our goals!

I'm 5'4" and 160. I want to get down to 130 or 135. I am small-built, so maybe even less than that. I gained all of my weight after having my 2 kids. Today is my first day. I started exercising again 3 weeks ago, so I'm getting that down. Now, the eating part. I'm home all day and I get so bored. I watch 3 other kids at home. I've cut back a lot because daycare is the worst job I've ever had. I should only have a few more months left. Anyway, I get bored and grab a box of crackers--which, of course, are meant for the daycare kids, but...you know. I've been doing this for the last 3 1/2 years. I feel isolated. I could really use friends to keep me on track.

I would love to join you guys!  Just turned 40 thes year and the stress of the job and boredom at home and all of that has gotten me to - gasp - 177!  I couldn't believe my eyes...and my 5'5'' frame can't carry around all of that weight.

I'm hoping to get down to about 130.  I just stumbled onto this website yesterday, too, when I was just searching for a basic calorie counter.  I'll look forward to the motivation of the team!
