Does anyone else like working out ?

Quote  |  Reply
I know this is crazy, but I enjoy going to the gym.  I schedule it like an appointment and then keep it because I know how the day can run away from you!  I think I like it better than watching what I eat - I'm not very good at that.  Does anyone else feel this way?

i love working out its alot of fun and you feel great(even though ur tired) afterwards
I love to work out. I feel a sense of acomplishment afterwards. In fact when I go home after and I sit on the couch to watch a bit of tv I feel like I should still be doing soemthing. I want to get a treadmill or something for my apartment so I can walk while I watch tv. My problem is that I love food also, but I'm getting better with that.

Add me to the list!  I love working out, both during & after.  I enjoy pushing myself & cranking out high intensity cardio, as well as challenging myself w/ maximal & explosive strength moves.

I've always been up & down w/ food, but it's getting better.  I'm learning to cope w/ my feelings sans food & realizing how even one decision to eat junk can send me off the deep end.

I hope that w/ the help of CC & other sources of RT support, I'll be able to strike a healthy balance w/ food.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I feel guilty if a day goes by and I don't work out!

I'm right there with you!

I love it! It's the only time I really get to myself anymore. It's such a stress reliever as well! I look forward to my time in the gym. I'm such a workout nerd that I get excited about new workout stuff (ie, new shoes, new clothes, new gym bag, etc.) If I book a trip somewhere, I make sure that either they have a 24-hour fitness nearby or that the hotel has a fitness room. I used to be the total opposite. Funny how that works...

For years I exercised three or four times a week as a chore, something I needed to do. When I started exercising almost everyday, I started to enjoy it. Now I really enjoy going to the gym and working hard. I take all different types of classes and it is actually fun, especially the yoga and belly dancing!

Depends on what I'm doing.  Stretching, pilates, ball exercises and the like, I'm not so fond of.  Sitting on the bike, listening to Dir en Grey, I can tolerate.  Boinking Alex in unusual positions, at varying speeds, and working at it as hard as I do, hell yes I like it.

I have grown to like it, mostly because I really feel I did something to change my situation, I am the one in control and that gives me a kick

I used to be too lazy to be bothered, heh Embarassed

I love it.  I will admit that every once in a while I have a day when I'm just slugging it out because I feel like i have to (maybe...5% of the time).  But most of the time, I'm there because I like it!  And even though I'm not really social at the gym, I like seeing the same regulars doing their same routines etc.  It makes me feel like a normal person.  As opposed to when I'm sitting around next to a bunch of couch zombies and I want to get up and move, but they don't.  Seriously, I'm addicted.  I have so much energy now..it really makes the rest of my life seem so much easier!

I love it!! It's nice to see others on here that do too! I have loads of excess energy that I need to spend somewhere! I go at 5am, and there is the same bunch of about 15 regulars that I see everyday. I don't talk to most of them other than a quick wave, but it's still a fun little community!
I also love it!!!  I'm a much happier person after working out and really feel like I'm missing out on busy days I can't work out.  Too bad my husband doesn't quite understand that high or he may be a bit more understanding.
I only started doing cardio a few weeks ago after gaining some needed weight, but I'm afraid I've become addicted. I love just going in my own little world on the elliptical, blasting some music on my MP3, and watching the O.C. or something.

I love the happier, more relaxed feeling you get after working out. Like I'll be in a b*tchy mood, go to the gym, and come home skipping through the door. It's a relief to my mom, at least. :)
Oh i LOVE it LOL. Even though once I'm done I'm stuffed but it's great fun!

well...on many days I still have a mental fight with myself to get to the gym.  However, once I am there, I am in heaven!  I put on my ipod and just go nuts on the elpitical trainer.  For about an hour.  I love where it takes me in my mind, I love the sweat pouring off me, the way I feel during and after.  I'm a much better mom on days I work out, which is 5x a week.

I love what the weight training is doing for my body.

In other words

WORKING OUR ROCKS!

I love it too... but I hate the prospect of it being gym night!

I go every other day but when its gym night I've got to really motivate myself to go.

I'm quite sure I've had a Gollum like argument with myself about the pros and cons of going to the gym whilst walking home from work on more than one occasion... lol am i selling myself as weird here?

It's not crazy! Working out is sometimes the best part of my day. :-)

Bahah, not weird at all, I'm very much the same way :P

I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't work out! I LOVE going to the gym!

i hate working out so much I try to limit them to 7days week ; (

no really I do hate it. and I only work out 6 days a week. Ok I lie.

I use to work out 6 days a week, now its down to 5 days a week but I still hate it.

I hate the fact that I lost close to 50 lbs, I hate the fact that I went down 4 pants size. I hate the fact that I am alway complimented on how good im looking, I hate the fact that my diabetes is under control and my blood pressure is great. All this from working out.

I am not on a diet, I am changing my life style.

That's me down to a tee also, I still struggle every day to actually get up and do it, every day I have to talk myself into it, I come up with excuses in my head as to why it's OK if I skip today. But once I am actually 10 minutes into it I start to enjoy it and love the feeling I have afterwards!
