try keeping a  bottle of water on your nightstand and drink it first thing in the morning

it will fill you up until you can get to some real food

I'm guilty of this too!  I also have a bad habit of "tasting" things as I am packing my lunch in the morning.  I'm also really bad at this when I get home from the gym because I am sooooo hungry and hubby is to lazy to cook while I'm gone.

I think I will try the water.

That is the exact reason I can't keep my breakfast in my kitchen...

I do this while I cook dinner. Im never hungry enough in the morning but when I get home from work or from the gym im usually starving. So as im making dinner I much on pretzels or grab some apples. Usually if i actually think about it i will just have 1 slice of bread with some pb and a huge glass of water. That will usually help w. the hunger.

Something I have started doing during the day that seems to help with being hungry is drinking benefiber which can be put into anything really.  There is no additional flavor and the fiber seems to help relieve hunger pangs for me.  You may want to try that while you are waiting and see if it helps.  I do this three times a day morning, afternoon and when I get home from work.  It helps with cleaning your system too...

I am the same, I like to snack.  Good luck!

OP-if it's not affecting your maintenance, I say go for it.  If you start to gain, you'll know why.

I did this just yesterday morning, actually. lol I woke up famished. That's what I get for eating an early dinner!

 +1 here.

I find Benefibre great because it helps to "top up" any small meal and makes you feel full much faster than that meal alone.  Some small meals have left me feeling kind of deprived, like there was not enough food and the bad thing is, when that happens, I usually start snacking on things soon after the meal but, if I have some water or juice with Benefibre mixed in, it really helps to feel full.

As for the feeling starved first thing in the morning, oh yeah, all the time.

Something that helps is to always have apples in your house.  What i do is that i take like 5 lbs. of apples and i cut them in pieces and i put them in the refrigerator.  Some times after dinner, like late at night at 11 PM, instead of snacking on something fatening, i would snack on a small bowl of pieces of apples that i got from the refrigerator, that helps a lot, coz if u are hungry at night and you don't have fruits, you will snack on something that is fattening and remember that most foods are fattening, only fruits are not fattening and green vegetables.
