Can anyone else not sleep at night?
Everytime I boost my diet, I can't sleep at night. I wake up every hour during the night and when I wake up I am not tired as though I slept the whole night. Somehow my diet is giving me excess wenergy, which shouldn't be a bad thing, but I would be much happier if I was getting a full night sleep. It happens everytime I kick up my exercise routine or decrease my calories. This week I am still working off a gain so I ramped it up a little and I have not been able to sleep a full night since Sunday. It usually takes a week for this to go away. Does this happen to anyone else?
Is it because I exercise late at night?
Is it the Snapple Mango Green Iced Tea with Metabolism Booster? Hope not because it is really yummy and I don't want to give it up.
Is it because I am not eating heavy enough foods to make me sleepy?
I am so confused by this.
Ok, first, get out of thinking foods should be eatten at night to make you sleepy... bad habit :)
Do you know how much caffine you are getting and how late in the day you get the last of the caffine?
how soon after working out do you go to sleep?
Is there any little thing you could do in your room? I must have a fan on - so when its too cold I turn the bathroom fan on, just for the noise. Otherwise if I can hear myself move - wide awake.
Maybe try some warn tea before bed? not that this has ever worked for me, but i hear other people like it! haha
About that tea - no clue, I tried to get information about those "metabolism boosters" and apparently its the same stuff found in the skin of fruits ?
I don't get much caffeine at all besides Green Tea. I would rather drink no sad at all than drink diet soda...I hate it! So I don't drink soda because I don't want to waste calories on regular soda. Also, I hate coffee, so no cafffeine there.
My workout is probably one of the last things I do at night. I usually leave the gym about 10 pm, come home shower, watch some tv and try to be in bed about midnight.
I have been doing a little research online, and it definately appears to be my late night workouts. I went to a body building website and they discussed it somewhat. I may have to change to the mornings, but then I would be late for work...it's a no win situation.
Shaylese,
I don't know, but if you haven't been, drink that Snapple in the morning. Or at least before 2 PM.
Stop all caffiene after 2 PM. If you're already doing this, look at your eating pattern and see if you are eating stuff like sugary things later at night.
