mine didnt, maybe youre starting with too much fibre, i remember when i brought myself out of starvation mode, i had a sandwich with one slice of low fat cheese, i could have cried i enjoyed it so much
Hey hey,

I had the same problem, ive been out of starvation mode for a week now and i still have stomach pains but its less now than 3 days ago when it realy hurt, just keep eating the right amount of calories and everything will be fine OR you could just eat something with 300 Cals in them, then you dont eat such a huge amount of food
thx for the advice and support bc its honestly such a disgusting feeling i cant wait to feel normal again, this is miserable i regret it so much   just out of curiosity.. did you gain/how much???  i know its expected and im sure it varies per person
Personally

i did not gain a thing, i used to eat about 400/500 cals a day and last week i changed it to 1200cals a day, and i will up that this week to about 1400 and thats where ill stay for a few weeks.....

this week i lost 2 kilos which is about 4.4Pounds, i expected to gain weight but instead i lost some more, however i did sport 5 days out of 7 (and i ate the Kcal i lost also) so maybe that helped, but thats what i do all the time so maybe its just luck or something.........

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!
I'm trying to break out of starvation mode right now, and my stomach does hurt a lot.  I just remind myself that it's a good ache; it means I'm getting better.  It's the feeling of being full, and if you're like me, you've been avoiding that feeling for so long while in starvation mode that it is incredibly uncomfortable for you.

I've upped my calories from 1000 a day to 1700 a day under my doctor's orders -- a pretty fast and drastic change.  Shockingly enough, I haven't gained ANY weight yet.  It's really surprising how much you actually have to eat to gain weight.

The pain WILL go away; mine's already subsiding a lot after only a week.  And you'll probably feel your appetite returning, too.  It's a good thing; it means your body and your metabolism is returning to normal working order.
thank you both for the encouragement and good news. : ) hopefully my body will react similarly to yours

ps. congrats on getting out... obviously i know what youre going through.
I had Mono and couldn't eat for 3 weeks (literally could not keep anything down but Jello and sometimes Ginger Ale), and I am just now getting over it. I've been trying to eat normally but I absolutely CANNOT eat a lot in one sitting or my stomach does begin to hurt -- I've found that if I eat smaller meals throughout the day, it is easier. It's been about a week now since I've been able to eat real food without throwing up, and although I still can't eat big meals, it is getting better. I'd just recommend eating smaller, more frequent meals and seeing if that helps.

Oh, and I've also added liquid calories back in to my diet (I actually lost too much weight and now need to gain some back). That might help you if you can't get enough from food. For example, I've been drinking regular Coke and having coffee with cream and sugar. I've found that liquids don't hurt my stomach, just food.
