Has anyone had any experience with Hemp Hearts?
So I just posted on a friends journal regarding this topic but I am so curious about it (plus procrastinating on studying) I thought I would post it here.
What is everyone's personal experience with Hemp Hearts? After looking over the site I feel like it is too good to be true!

They are very similar to flax seed benefits. I have tried them and they taste good, too.
Hi there, Norma!! I've been eating Hemp Hearts since about December 1st. Almost every day. I find that I have more energy and that I sleep better at night. I used to have a problem with insomnia. (Check out this thread for more information on diet and insomnia: http://www.calorie-count.com/forums/post/9744 .html)
I like to mix them with yogurt, have them over cereal, blend them in a smoothie, add them to soup. Just about anywhere! You can even eat them plain! They are delicious!!
There is a book out there, co-authored by one of the leading Whole Foods chefs, Christina Pirello (link), called The Hemp Nut Cookbook (link). I haven't been able to check it out yet, but I do have some of Mrs. Pirello's other books and have really enjoyed them very much. If you type "Hemp Hearts" into Google, you can find a plethora of information, including a couple of sources to buy them online.
When I first decided it try them, it was just an experiment. Now I am so happy that I did!! I usually don't believe in the sort of "miracle food" idea, but I have been very pleased with the results of this natural plant supplement in combination with the other foods that I include in my daily diet. I find it really helps balance out my proteins and healthy fats and I would especially recommend it to anyone that is a vegan or vegetarian, looking for ways to increase their protein. =)

Thanx for responding!! I am going to whole foods today to see if they carry it. I am very curious to try it! I am all about the protein, fiber and whole grains!
