This was included in my overal calorie's burned calcuatlion........I'm new here as of today. Sorry, I must be missing something....is this saying I would normally burn that number of calories just sitting idle?

i'm not 100% but i think it just means how many calories you burn by just being alive. did they ask you to estimate how much time you spent doing various activities like sleeping and sitting everyday? our bodies are always burning calories to keep us functioning..that could be it. computers usually base it on height, weight and age. i'm not sure though - try google
Yes, "normal calorie expenditure" IS what the body burns just by "living."
It's what you burn by living -- and what you burn with your activity level. It factors in the option you chose (Sedentary, light activity, moderate activity, or very active). It's not just what you would burn sitting idle -- unless you chose sedentary when setting up your goals and account.
