xxxx ;0))
I have to agree with you... thanks for posting this so I can also shout it out! I am amazed at how well I have progressed and the information I have learned is overwhelming, but in a very good way. I have 9 more lbs to reach my goal weight (I have lost 27.5 pounds already) and I never thought it was possible. This site and the community has had a huge influence on me - and I thank the heavens every day that a friend pointed me in this direction. I have finally found a lifestyle that is healthy and doable. Yes, it takes a lot of effort and in some people's opinions my efforts appear obsessive - because I count calories and weigh out my foods. BUT, it is not affecting my abilities to be a productive adult at work or with my children (3 boys). Congratulations to you and others... we all have reasons to be proud!
yes, this site is a wonderful source of support. treating my body right and eating healthy FEELS SO GOOD! never underestimate the mind-body connect...
*goes to climb something very very tall*
*shouting from the rafters*
I have less than 10 lbs to go! I have less than 10lbs to go!!
I've lost 55lbs, my goal was to lose 63lbs. I may keep going until I've lost 75lbs, but we'll see. And I'm going back to school soon and it was so much easier losing while being at school, busy and motivated! Yay for success!! AND it can be done slowly and healthily!! I am closing out month 8 on my lifestyle change. Marvelous!
i have started some new exercise and eating habits and have been going strong for 2 weeks and have lost three pounds! i am so excited and feel that this is the just the beginning of something great.
woohoo!
Today I was afraid to weigh myself, but I did it anyway, and I'M MY GOAL WEIGHT.
I am so excited, because I never thought I'd really reach it since I've been the same weight for so long, especially after pulling out the top layer of my cornea, being confined to laying down, and gaining more than I have ever weighed before. I couldn't get back down to my old jean sizes but today I weighed myself and I weigh less than I did last year!
I'm my goal weight today!
:D
Oh I'm feeling good too! Today I noticed that my endurance is definitely improving and that my body is changing for the better. Things are tightening up
. The scale was good to me too.
I hear yah! This year I have lost 65 pounds. All my work associates constantly joke with me about my losing so much weight. I really feel good about the way things are going right now. I'm extremely proud of my work out routine and eating habits.
I'm really happy for you guys! I'm only just starting out, so I can't really post any results yet, but you guys are really inspiring. I'm going to keep at it so I can post here too some day!
WOW to us all!
For me its the ability to still eat what i want...naughty things eek like chinese and being able to get straight back on track the next day or even the next meal.
I used to get it so fixed in my head that 'i was on a diet' that if i aint anything with any remote amount of fat in it the guilt i was consumed with was overwhelming and id go off track for a week or 4 lol. Now im like hey this is for life, theres always gonna be birthdays, hangovers and just for the hell of it occasions lol so get on with it. Might slow me down but my thinkin is this is about learning so at least i know il get to my goal and hold it off....well thats the plan haha
im so very happy!! Just got couple more challenges and demons to conquer but i told myself baby steps so il hit my 3 goals for this month and start on the others next month!
WHOOP WHOOP!!!! ;0))) xxx
I woke up this morning feeling and looking lighter than I have been for a long time, and I'm less than two weeks away from my all time low :D I'm proud of myself for staying within my calories and working out consistantly for the last month and a half.
And very soon, I'll be on my last 10 pounds! I feel great!

absolute ditto on this! I just started week 3 of serious exercise and watching every cal and I feel great! My tops look alot better on me (my shoulders are def smaller) and at gym this morning - I cooked it and was still able to breathe :) I'm sure my thighs looked smaller in the mirror too...heehee Keeping at this combo of eating and exercising right, I am ecstatic of what the future might hold!!! Whoop Whoop!!!
Yesterday I stepped on the scale and for the first time in 12 years the number I looked at started with a 1
I started using Calorie Count in May and am hooked! The infomation on saturated fat, cholesterol, iron and fiber are what I really focus on, in addition to calories--I even created a spreadsheet to keep track of my monthly averages and I have to say I have made amazing improvements in my dietary habits! I can't wait to go for my next cholesterol test to see if I have really improved my numbers.
Hi ! everyone ,
mine is a very small thing compared to all of you , but i feel proud of myself for this yesterday i went to a movie and every time i go i eat a full bag of large popcorn (i love it ) but this time i just ate a small one it feels great. my husband appreciated me for that. i have to initially loose 21 lbs this is my short term goal, longterm i have to loose 50 lbs. i will do my best. thanks to all of you for sharing your big acheivements and my little big thing.
yay I like this thread! I was actually going to create one today until I saw this! Anyway, today I ran 20 miles!!! I'm so ridiculously proud of myself haha. Especially considering that 6 months ago, I couldn't even run a mile. And I held a great pace - average of 9 minute miles. just had to brag a little ;)
congrats to everyone else in their successes! i enjoyed reading them!!!!
Congrats to everyone! I am 10 pounds away from my goal weight and they are definitely coming off the slowest, but I'm still really proud. I feel great, but like some of you mentioned, the thing that is making me the happiest is knowing that I can keep up this lifestyle forever. It's so funny because I always messed around with fad diets, diet pills, drinks, etc. but I never tried the simplest plan - counting calories and daily exercise. It really is the only way to go.
Anyways, I'm very much looking forward to my college homecoming this fall :)
Hi all!
What a great idea to start this thread! It is so encouraging to see how you all reached your goals or are close to it! And also the little daily successes are really the ones that make this journey so much easier and more pleasant for me!
Congratulations to all of you!!!
I am very proud of NOT buying any junkfood at the baseball game yesterday. No hotdog, no pizza, no popcorn - just my apples and me! :o) And it was good! Today I left the 50s and saw the high 40s for the first time since a very long time!
Also this feels like something I can do longterm. I am not hungry, I am not grumpy, I am in a better shape and I feel more energy! Yeah!
All the best to all of you!
