I would enjoy being connected to someone else who is in my range. I seem to have fallen off the band wagon and need to get back on fast before the wedding that I am in comes up in September.
I know I can do this, I am motivated to do this, but life seems to just get in the way and I lose my footing.
Lets keep each other going so we can all say we did it!
GOOD LUCK!!

Current Weight 168; Goal Weight 150; Highest Weight 185...
I lost 16 pounds from January to March.. But fell off the bandwagon also.. I luckily did not gain any weight back, but am now for last 2 weeks back on the bandwagon and trying to lose another 15-18 pounds by August/September. I'm finding it hard to stay on track in the evenings.... Didn't have this problem before.... lol;

Boy, I didn't know that big scoop of peanut butter this morning was going to cost me 368 calories. It's amazing how those little sneaks add up big.
At least with the tools on this site, it keeps me VERY aware of what I am absent-mindedly shoving in my mouth. My previous complaint was, "I have no idea why I weigh this much, I only eat once a day..." Guess I better pay attention to the peanut butter and those glasses of sweet tea. It seems it's the little things that are killing me.

i am more 5'8.5-5'9" my usual weight was 160-165 but since having my baby 6 weeks ago, I jumped to 210. This morning I was 206 wahoo! But my goal weight is 150. In high school I went from 167 to 137 and thought I needed to lose more weight because I still had hips and a little stomach puch but after looking at pictures my neck and chest/shoulder area looked really bony and not healthy, so I am hoping to get down to 150ish.
Hi!
I'm 5'8", about to turn 39.
I'm currently stuck at around 143# - that seems to be the point at which I plateau and need to step up the exercise, but don't.
My all-time high was 164.
My goal weight (subject to revision) is 135.

How many calories are you guys shooting for daily.
I'm 5' 7 1/2 ". Is that close enough? I used to be 5' 8", but I have some disc compression issues in my spine that I'm working on.
I started on Jan 14th at 225 lbs.
I am currently 180 lbs.
My goal weight is 145 lbs.
I started on Jan 14th at 225 lbs.
I am currently 180 lbs.
My goal weight is 145 lbs.
I average 1850 calories a day. I exercise daily. I've been riding my bike to work, (6 miles round trip) and I also try to take a 30 minute walk every day.
I'm 5'-7.5".
Currently 181.6.
Goal is 148 (or size 10 - so somewhere in the 140's).
Highest - 199.5 (yes, never tipped 200 - that 199.5 was the wake up call, though). This was about 2.5 years ago. I lost 30 right after that, but promply gained back 15 when I started dating again and was going to dinner every weekend.
Goal date is early October (although I'd be thrilled if it were Labor Day weekend, but to stay in the "safe" range for weightloss, the date comes up early October).
I'm shooting for 1600 calories/day. But, I'm not really watching that as much as I'm watching the "nutritional" grade for the day. Trying to keep that as a B+ or better. If I"m hungry and have already had my1600 calories for that day, I don't care, I going to eat. Will NOT risk that headache. I've found it pretty easy to stay under the 1600, though, by simply watching the nutritional value of things. I skip the C and D graded items, and amazingly have found it very easy to stay under 1600.

(i posted my stats a few days ago, so...)
when i'm on my very best behaviour, i eat 1400-1500 calories. i've been very bad the last week, too much alcohol, crappy food, and stopped counting calories because i knew i wouldn't like what i saw. i'm a grad student and periodically suffer from a psychological phenomenon called Resource Depletion: when the demands of life go up, my resolve to take care of myself crumbles. but we all know how that works, right?
as they say, though, tomorrow is a new day. everyone up for tomorrow?

Hi,
I'm new to this site, I'm about 5' 9" and 204lbs.
I don't know what my goal weight should be, because I am not hugely big sizewise - english size 16 in jeans, 20 in tops cause I have really broad shoulders! My Mum is a 12-14 and she's smaller framed than me, so I guess I should aim for a size 14.
I'd like to get to 176lbs, or maybe a little bit below - I do judo and the maximum for the 2nd to top wieght category is 78kgs or 171.6lbs, and it would be nice not to be in the openweight category!
It amazes me that you guys all have such low goal weights, I can't imagine ever being that light!! Even when I was 14 I was 150lbs and I was really really skinny - flat stomach, no fat on my legs at all... So I doubt I could get anywhere near that cause I have grown alot since then!

Hi all -
I'm 5'8" with a current weight of 169, a goal weight of 165, and a starting weight of 189. I'm almost there, but losing those last few pounds has certainly been a big struggle! Nevertheless, I'm feeling much healthier than I have in a long time due to exercise, a slightly improved diet, and better stress management. My best to you all!
- Jim

ariastar, did i read that right? your long term goal is 100#? you know that's nuts, right?
the skinniest 5'8"er i know is 120. she is lean, strong, fit, very fine boned, and almost completely flat-chested. she's built like an eleven year old boy (albeit a tall one).
unless that was a typo, you need to revise your goal.
