Has anyone...............................
...........gained before they have lost?
Hiya Everyone
I thought I weighed 18 half stone, I used a standing scales in my doctors surgery, its one of those sprung jobbies, logged my weight into CC and started my new way of life and eating diet.
I do not have scales at home, so I wasnt gonna find out my weight (whether I had lost stayed the same or gained) until my next visit to the Doctors, before my next visit to the Doctors I saw a specialist at hospital and they needed my weight, I said I'm not sure, hopefully I have lost as I am counting my calories and upped my excersise, he asked what I weighed then, so I said 18 half stone, hoping I had lost.
He took me to another room, where this odd looking contraption sat and he said these are our hospital scales they are very accurate all you have to do is sit down and I weigh you. He read out my weight and it said I was 19 stone and 2Ibs, I was so shocked. He reassured me that my diet was probably not at fault but the sprung scales at the surgery, saying that sprung scales are not very accurate, specially for those who have a balancing problem.
So I am not too fed up, I am glad I have found out what I really weigh and its made me more determined to stick with this than ever, but is it down to inaccuracy of the sprung scales, or have I gained weight, before I start losing due to a sluggish metabolism. Is there anyone out there with similar or same problem as I would like to hear everyones view on the matter.
Hope to hear from someone soon bye for now. Good luck to all
Love and Best wishes

hi there,
most scales do give you a different reading. the best way to keep a more accuret note of your weight is to try and weight yourself at the same time and in the same spot using the same scales for eg. in the gym my weight is 14stn7lb at home on my own scales my weight is 14stn and if i weight myself in the kitchen my weight is different again, so it is possable that you have lost, i suppose the best way to see if you have lost is to use the same scales down at your doc's or invest in your own set, but don't weigh yourself to often as your weight can go up and down a few times through the week (water retention sucks)
good luck and i hope sume of this helps xxxxx
