Well I'm new to this and am really tired of roller coaster diets!  Anyone interested in joining me on my 20lb challenge?  Getting married this year and really need to look fierce Wink  Goal date is July 4th!

Congratulations and good luck!!!!!

I recently got married... and did lose the weight.... however a lot was due to pneumonia!  hated being sick, but I looked great for the wedding!!!  My dress had to be taken in twice!  I dropped to 125.... possibly lower.... when it got closer, I didn't  have time for the scales... or to eat, so I may have lost more.  (my pneumonia was in Oct. and I got Married Dec. 22!)

Be warned... Once you get married it comes back!!!!  I'm now at 139!!!!! I was higher than that last month!  I just started counting calories this week.... 1st time ever (I've tried a few things in the past... fat grams counting.... and a really psychodiet that u lose 9 lbs in 11 days....  u do, however, u get really grumpy, and tired of food..no good especially as u prepare for the big day)  Now this is my 1st counting and I'm just taking it slow and walking with friends after work... and each day trying to get lower on the calories!

Wish you all the best!  Just don't stress out too much about the weight... you husband to be loves you just the way you are, or he wouldn't be marrying you!  You will look beautiful no matter what, because it will be one of the happiest days of your life.  Your happiness will shine and you will be gorgeous to all... especially him!

Great!!!!  Although my wedding is November 1st.... I have to really start dress shopping, so I gave myself the July date!

Thank you!!!! It's funny because I never really had such a hard time losing the weight, and have litterally gained 6lbs in the last month!  (Doesn't help that I also had birthdays here at work which means cake!!! every week, and also my own 30th birthday bash!)  but I am back on track with fruits and veggies during the day and light dinners... I am totally determined!

I'd like to join too. Between Sept and Dec of last year I went from 152 to 124. Since January my weight has crept up to 141. URGH! I'm frustrated but hope that together we can lose weight in a healthy manner! Thanks for initiating. :-)

I used to be 120 lb for years and then I just gained another 20 lb in a matter of months... khem... but after solving the issue that caused it I'm ready to lose it back Wink

And don't forget that a person needs at least 1200 calories or the body can go into the starvation mode and drinking 10 glasses of water a day is very important to lose weight.

Eni-chan, I've just started monitoring my water intake.  I had read somewhere that the recommended intake of water for women is around 91 ounces a day!  That's somewhere in the area of what you posted.  I'm struggling to meet this requirement...moreso on the weekends when I am not at work (which is labour intensive, and therefore makes it easier to drink all that water).

I'm in I just finished my first year of graduate school and packed on the pounds as a result and I really want a fresh start. I'm starting to count my calories today!

I do strugle a little bit with water too but I find it easier to drink water at home actually. I just made a rule to myself to go to the kitchen every hour or two and drink a glass of water. After a while it gets into the habit.

Thanks to all of you who want to join, I am soooo excited to see that I have some help!  Remember drink lots of water, eat plenty of veggies and fruits, get up and move something! and most of all ... think positive, together, WE CAN DO IT!!

I am SO in. 140-120lb is exactly where I'm at! I will summon up some self-control and lose all this weight.

Though I don't have scales...yet, so I'll have to go by measurements.

Lets do this!

I'm also working to get down to 120, started at 147.  I'm 5'2" and 27yrs old.  I'm tired of yo-yoing.  I got married myself in 2006 and was on a diet most of the year to get down to my goal weight.  I came close for the wedding day but then gained it all back since then.  I started CC+ two weeks ago and have lost 6lbs so far.  I'm working on eating 1250 a day and just started exercising 25mins a day on the elliptical.  If I can keep this up for a month, I'll start adding weight training as well.

That is great! I have added a walking route at work on breaks and lunch and in the evening I try to get out and move with my kids (6 year old and a 1.5 year old)  let me tell ya, if they had it their way mom would never sit down!  Keep up the good work everyone, and remember if you fall off the wagon, pick urself right back up and shake it off, you can't win if you don't try!

I am with you too, last tuesday I weighed in at 149 today i was 143, added new walking program to my life and feel great, I really don't have any huge plans that i want to lose it for but I really want to knock my husbands shoes off when he sees me in a bathing suit

I'm in! I just joined. I'm 5'3 and about 140 (no scales yet). Congrats on the wedding! I'm going to be a bridesmaid for my best friend this june so I'm looking forward to a summer wedding too!

I would love to join you. I'm going to Cancun in July and need to get down to my goal weight. I'm 5'4 and currently 127 but i started at 140 in March. The last 10lb have been really hard. Also, my 5th wedding anniversary is in Aug, and i wanna show my hubby that i still got it.
