Has anyone gained weight from increasing their water intake?

I've cut out all sodas and had only water to drink for the past 3 days and solidly gained 3 pounds.  I'm assuming I was dehydrated before and this is where my body wants to be when it's hydrated.  I'm not overdrinking.  I take in about 2 liters a day, with no other liquid and the same food diet.  Has anyone experienced this, and if so, how long does it take to start losing again?

I noticed this once...but I think it was because I tried drinking all my water at once instead of spreading it out during the day.

My weight shot up about 3 lbs also. Not sure  why.
Never experienced this. I found that once I drank enough, I lost salt and lost weight.

That's sort of odd. Are you doing anything else in your diet?
I know. it's totally strange to me, too.  I haven't changed anything except no (diet) soda, all water.  And, I sip it throughout the day.  I weigh myself in the mornings, too.  (the standard- after using the bathroom and before getting dressed).  I'm hoping weightloss will kick in after my body realizes the water is here to stay.  I'm totally confused by this though.

I'd say, relax a little and see if it disappears in a day or two, OK? :)
Not to be nosey is it close to your time of the month??? That may play a factor?
I've got a couple of weeks to go on that one! :)
If you were drinking caffeinated sodas before, they can act as diuretics so it's possible you were dehydrated before, as you were assuming. That's the only thing I can think of, ell else being equal.
