Does anyone here think that girls look better a little mushy?

Quote  |  Reply

I guess Im a weirdo or something but I feel like girls look best when they have a little mush on them.  Not fat or unhealthy, but just soft looking.  I have never been skinny before so maybe I will feel different after I lose 80 lbs, but I dont really have a desire to have a hard body.  I just want to be normal.  Maybe a size 8 or 10?  What do you guys think.

I'm with you there.  I think girls look much better with a little chub on the belly and a little on the thighs.  Thighs that don't touch freak me out!  I'm aiming for about a 7-9.  I was happy with how I looked then.  I used to be a 3-5 but was a little too thin.

either a little mushy or a little muscular (Jessica Biel probably has the best body ever).  Anything but plain old bones in my opinion.  http://www.yardbarker.com/m/1366/xl/Jessica_B iel_at_GB-CHI.jpg)

i love how jessica biel looks! but I figure if I can get to a size 10 i'll be thrilled. I'm not a small bodied person by any means....big thighs and butt adn hips. But my upper body is smaller, so if I lose too much weight, my face looks weird. So a size 10 is good for me. I'd even be happy with a size 12.

Funny you mention this. I was looking at Jillian Michaels from biggest loser (I am trying that 30 day shred), and I was kind of grossed/weirded out by her stomach. Yeah, abs are cool and all.....but I don't know.

Fat/curves are natural/healthy on a woman.

An 8 or a 10 isn't a bad goal at all.

I'd love to be firmer than I am currently. I wear US size 4 which is not bad but my abs don't look how I want them to. I totally would like a leaner look. Not "body builder" type but leaner.

Mushy is a funny word!

I've never found skinny girls attractive, no. All my best looking mates are kind of UK sizes 10-14. The 6s and 8s just look a bit plainer and more ordinary.

I agree that Jessica Beil looks great, but I differently wouldnt call her mushy! LOL.

Anyway, my goal is 140 lbs, which at 5'3 would put me at the very heighest weight possible to be healthy. My fiance doesnt want me to go any lower than 150 lbs, because he claims he doesnt like really skinny girls (God, I love him for that! LOL). So are far as toning goes, Im not looking for hard abs, but I would love to have firm, strong arms.

My boyfriend thinks "skinny girls are nasty".  My weight loss goal leaves me in the "overweight" range, but for me not to be over weight I'd have to be 160something and at 5'8.5" I think its way to skinny for my frame, as it is, at 180 my ribs show a bit.  The whole "more cushion of the pushing" statement is exactly why my guy doesn't want me to lose too much weight.  He told me he was once with a "skinny" girl and said that he and she would both get hurt during sex because "there wasn't enough padding".  Thank God for sensible men!

My boyfriend is afraid I'll lose too much weigh since I would love to be 125 lbs as my goal. I am about 149 lbs (not sure if I've lost or not since last time). I told him I wanted to have a body like some girl we both know and he was like "No way, she looks fragile" and he really doesn't like skinny girls. He called me squishy but he said it in a humorous way, and didn't mean any harm. I do think he really likes the way I look, but I just don't like it at all.

Personally, I also think skinny girls don't look that good but I just want to be the skinny girl so bad! If that makes any sense...

I would rather see someone slightly soft than overly muscular. I prefer a leaner look and I think Jillian Michaels looks good, but it's a little much. I mean, I'd like to see some definition on my stomach, but I don't want to be able to trace the outline of each individual muscle.

My husband doesn't like skinny girls. He thinks Scarlett Johansen (sp) has the best body. He wouldn't mind if I were a little more rounded, lol.

Yeah, I understand exactly what you mean. the BMI counter said I should get down to 145, but I don't want that. I want to be 160. Actually, the body I would LOVE is Raven Samone's body. I think she is the healthiest person in show business. I don't want her show(That's So Raven) but I have seen her, and she grew up beautifully. I want big hips, thighs, ass, and boobs. My stomach is what gets me. I have overhang flab, and I just want a cute pooch. What I REALLY want is my size 18s to fit again!!

I think Kate Winslet (even in her chubbier days), Salma Hayek (my girlie crush. haha.), Alicia Silverstone back when she was in "Batman and Robin" and "Excess Baggage"), Liv Tyler now, Rachel Weiz, Drew Barrymore from 1998-2003 all had extra meat on their bodies and had  beautiful, beautiful bodies. What a woman should be like. :)

EDIT: Oh and Kim Kardashian! Jennifer Connelly also had a very beautiful body in the early to mid 90's I would have killed to look how she did in the movie "Career Opportunites," that's my dream look. Now she's a little too thin, but she is still beautiful.

i used to be "mushy" and soft and i hated it.  the other day a friend of mine--who, by the way, is 26, 5'4", and absolutely ripped--told me that i look strong.  that to me is probably the best compliment i could get.  i've been called other things: thin, skinny, even tiny, but none of those feel as good as being called strong.

mushy?  not something i aspire to.

pgeorgian, i think "mushy" just isn't the best term for it. I defintely don't ever want to describe myself as mushy lol.

it's funny that you all mention your b/f or husbands. my fiance doesn't want me to lose too much weight b/c he doesn't wnat my butt to go away! haha i politely assured him that it's plenty big and won't disappear. :)

Well, mushy isn't a term that I willingly aspire to be either, but I believe that's just the connotation of the word. That being said, I agree with so many of you! Kate Winslet is the sexiest woman in the world, apart from Nigella Lawson of course (but comparing other women to her is hardly fair). I think "soft" might be a better word, even if mushy is a little fun. Women are sexier with curves- it's what separates us from men, and so biologically, it's much more attractive to the opposite sex than skin and bones!

"just the connotation"?  we're on the internet; language is all we have (well, that and smilies).  i'd say connotation is a pretty vital part of communcation in this medium.

mushy describes applesauce, over-ripe bananas, baby food, and other things with very little physical integrity.  and i don't compare myself to celebrities, but kate winslet and nigella lawson are anything but mushy!

I know men tend to like curves.

I think the most attractive thing is to be in good health and look healthy.  To be in balance, not at any extreme (too much weight, too skinny, or overly developed muscles).

i agree with the op totally. I've been thinking a lot about this lately. As i've lost weight i've noticed i feel bony in some spots already. I'm not real thrilled with that. I have a long way to go still. I'm at 195. CC says I should be 130ish. I'm thinking that will be too thin. I'm just going to wait and see when i get there but i definitely think curves are sexy!

I like the word mushy.  I dont think it sounds bad at all.  Right now Im 227lbs and Im not mushy--Im lumpy, bumpy, and huge.  Mushy would be just a nice little cushion of softness over my bones.  I think Jillian Michaels and Jessica Biel's muscles work for them.  I think they look really healthy, which is naturally good looking.    Like one of the other posters said there is something about the idea of being strong that just makes me feel awesome, but being a mushy little curvy girl sounds good too.

I dont know, I've got a lot of weight to lose before I start deciding if I want a 6 pack or an 8 pack.  lol.Tongue out

Today, I think curves rock!

"my goal is 140 lbs, which at 5'3 would put me at the very heighest weight possible to be healthy. ME TOO Completely Keb1984!! 140 is my goal and have been requested, about 3 times now, not to dip any lower by my bf. He loves curvy girls! I'm trying not to let the fact that he said he might even prefer me with bigger boobs and butt distract me! lol Embarassed

Firmer upper arms are also one my goals, getting there slowly!

I am striving for UK size 10.  Smaller, toned but still curvy :-)
