Anyone gone on a great vacation lately? Where?

Looking to book our anniversary trip at the end of September.  Just not sure where to go?  We love the beach, all-inclusive and lots of sun.  Any ideas?  Looking to stay under $2500 for about 6 days.  Belize?  Aruba?  Where have you guys been lately?  Love to hear about it!

Case

I backpacked through Europe last summer for a couple months, and happened to stumble upon a fantastic vacation zone (not really original sadly): Naxos and Skiathos. both of which (in my opinion) are the greatest Greek islands you can visit. Especially if you'd be leaving in September (the summer crowds would have dissipated and prices would've gone down).

Beautiful, beautiful islands with great restaurants and tons of on island activities. A really wonderful resort i ended up stumbling upon is the Kassandra resort on Skiathos (have you seen the new "Mamma Mia" movie? They filmed the entire movie on/near Skiathos).

Sun wise: I island hopped for about 15 days last summer and i've never been as brown in my ENTIRE life! I looked like one of those blond surfer people I've always been so envious of - it was fantastic!

The island of Naxos had the BEST restaurants i've ever eaten at - my partner and i laughed that the Italian food on the greek island was better than that we'd eaten in Italy. Watch out for the chocolate coated ice creams every where though - they're deadly addictive, and a perfect complement to the white sands/lounge chairs and crystaline waters!

You should check out Lanaii, Hawaii.  It is so beautiful and very seclusive beach to enjoy.  It is a perfect vacation for anniversary or just to get away from peoples.

There is only 2 resorts up there.  The Manele Bay which is by the beach or the Keole Lodge by the mountain.  Snorkel, horse back riding, fishing, hiking etc..  all day long.

You can also go island hoping by a ferry boat to Maui (Shopping) and come back the same day.

We are getting ready to go back on our anniversary in June for 10 days.  It is one of our favarite place to visit.  We usually go twice a year.

I frequent the Dominican Republic.  I was there 6 months ago and I'm going again on Friday for 7 nights.  Lots of sun (although May has a greater chance of rain), great beaches, food is good depending on where you stay.  Trip Advisor has reviews of different hotels.  Happy Anniversary.
