I know, I know, yet another post about yaz.  I think this is different, though.  It seems that eeeeverything I read online about yaz is a horror story. I find it hard to believe that it's really so terrible and assume that ppl only feel strongly enough to post about it if they had a horrible experience.

So, ladies, who out there has had a GOOD experience with yaz?

Also, on a related note, did it make anyone's boobs bigger?  How much, and how long did it take?  Smile

I have been on Yaz for 2 months.  Yes...my chest did get bigger...I am just noticing that my bras are too small.  I have had no problems with mood on this pill and my period is regular and I have had no mid-month spotting or anything(I had problems getting my period on the last one and then had spotting throughout the month).  ALthough, I do not like how it is reacting with my body.  I have not changed my eating habits or exercise routine.  My weight has not gone up, but my body is changing and my clothes do not fit comfortably.  I feel very bloated and look bloated.  My face is breaking out horribly.  I am 26 and my face is the worse it has ever been in the past 2 months.  I am not sure how I feel about this pill yet.

yuyu - I have been on Yaz for about 2 years now and have had no problems at all.  Not really sure what horror stories there are out there, but I can tell you that it has been just fine for me.  I am actually now on the generic, Ocella.

Before I switched to Yaz, I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo and really liked it as well.  I moved cities, got a new gyno, and she recommended Yaz - so I switched (BY THE WAY, not the best reason to switch, just because your doc recommends it - I think she was just trying to get the kick-back from the pharm company ... but that is really neither here nor there).  Just bringing this up because I personally found no major differences between the two - although I do think my cramps are a bit better since I have been on Yaz.

Didn't really notice a change in bra size ... so I can't really be of any help there.

I was on it for a couple of years and loved it!  It brought my PMS mood swings down to a really manageable level.

Yaz is AMAZING!!!

I've been on it happily, no, joyously since i was about seventeen (i'm almost 20 now). I had TERRIBLE PMDD (premenstrual deysphoric disorder) before i got on Yaz. It treated it completely.  I actually LOST weight on Yaz, and my boobs got bigger. It was truly a miracle pill for me.

When i started on it my periods got super light, and now i barely have one at all. It's also great because the pill has a slight diuretic effect. I used to get really bloated and now it's almost nothing. And, no cramps!!

GET ON THIS PILL! At least try it, and find out what works for you. Good luck!!

I agree yaz is the best.  ^Haha yeah I swear my boobs are bigger when I'm on it too (probably only noticable to me but who cares lol)

I'd say try it for one cycle and see how it goes, you will probably notice you have a lighter period when you come off it.  What kind of horror stories? A few of my friends are on it too and we're all fine.

I have been on yaz for several years and really like it.  It has really improved my cramps, blemishes and mood swings/PMS.  In the past I have had a hard time with birth control (I don't handle the hormones well) but yaz doesn't bother me- hooray!

I know that women that are prone to depression have a very hard time with yaz- some sort of chemical reaction, from what I have heard.  So if you have depression I would definitely steer clear of this one.

I am a bit older then ya all and was put on Yaz by my OBG just about three years ago because of irregular and excessive bleeding (yuck!). I was hitting perimenopause big time, additionally with increased PMS, cramps, and all the rest (you know how the curse goes :) ) . The first month was horrible - I felt like fainting/dying, due to the hormons kicking in (mimicking early pregnancy, hihih). But after the initial inconveniencies the yaz got rid of my cramps (after 14 years of suffering), PMS, excessive bleeding, skin problems, etc.

I really like it, and does my family - I am much more relaxed and nicer (I guess?).

My boobs got bigger, but I also gained weight lately (I don't think it's related to Yaz but to eating too much), tha's why I am on this program ;)

Just to brag a bit - I lost 2 lbs in the past two weeks - cheers and happy calories counting to all!

Ah yes, the Yaz horror stories. I think most of them have to do with horrible mood swings, right?

I've been on it since around June/July and have been fine on it. I think it's helped with my cramping and PMS as well as made my periods lighter. The pill hasn't made me gain any weight either. I haven't really noticed a change in my boobs though =(

But really, with medication, especially those affecting hormone levels, everyone's body is going to react differently so you just need to see what works for you.

Also, I suffer from depression but haven't really found Yaz to affect my mood.

I was put on Yaz by my doctor to combat the mood swings that higher-horomone means like the Depo shot were giving me. I have been on it for about 8 months now and I haven't had any bad side effects. My moods swings have dissolved without added anti-depressants/anxiety pills, I have not gained any weight like I did with the shot, and my PMS symptoms have improved 10-fold. I used to have 4-5 day horrendous periods and they're much lighter and about 2-3 days now.

My boobs... I'm naturally large breasted, and even with a little weight loss changed about a half a cup size up. I'm 23, so maybe just my body changing, but no complaints from me on Yaz!

Yaz has worked really well for me. Admittedly I gained a couple pounds, but it was well worth not having the horrible cramps and mood swings.

YES! Before I went on it my periods were so painful I would be physically ill and unable to make it through a school day. Now they are nice and light and manageable. I didn't even have weight gain!

I just started taking Yaz and I'm just finishing my second week. I've been reading all over about the negative side effects and some of them seem scary, but so far i am loving this pill! I was on Alesse/Lutera/Aviane for as long as i can remember since like high school.

I think Yaz is totally making my boobs bigger and i'm SO excited about that because i'm your typical small chested asian girl lol! My 32B cup is starting to really fill out and feel tight, and I can totally notice it in my bikini. It's easy to notice on me because i didn't have much to begin with. In addition to that, i haven't been as hungry as i usually am on the other pill, so i might even be losing a little weight, but its too early to tell. Usually i'll take tons of study breaks to munch on stuff (stress eat) but i haven't really felt the urge to and it's finals week! I feel its given me more energy, or maybe the other pill jsut really made me tired, sleepy, and unable to concentrate.

The only thing that is weird is that i've been constipated. but it may be cuz of the hormone switch.

anyways, i haven't seen my boyfriend in over a month so i'm excited to show him my new boobs lol.

I like Yaz! I didn't notice it making my chest any b igger but it decreased how sad and isolated I felt during my period and eased the physical symptoms as well.
