Can anyone help me losing weight?

I've been gaining weight for five years now, due to hectic schedule and heavy pressure at work i can hardly make time to do exercise, whenever i go home i tend to eat a bit more and sleep...(sigh) i resented that however and would like to find a way to recover, i've lost 5kilos from 75 to 70 a month & 2wks ago using a diet pill(used that pill once a day for 2wks i got sick for a month), i've stopped, it triggered my asthma haha i thank God I'm well now. I would like to lose until i got 54kls, my recommended weight should be. I've reduced my rice intake 2days ago, what i did was i eat dimsum and milktea in the morning(habit before going to work), veggies and meat lunch, but then in the eve me and my husband go for a meal after he picked me up from work, that's like 7:30pm before going home, and i drink milktea about an hour before i got to bed. Please tell me, am i doing right? I know you have a lot of posted articles but it may take time for me to browse most of them  =D....Is there any suggestions you can give? Thank you.

You are smart to stop taking the diet pills, I use to take another similar product and found myself sick in the stomach, if you are open to a recommendation I have had great success with a system called "Cinch Inch Loss", you can go to this website to learn more: www.cinchplan.com/tnt-associates, I have lost 4 inches from this system from around my midsection, which tends to be the hardest spot to lose weight. I believe you are on the right track by watching what you eat, but you also need to know how much calories you need to lose your desired weight. I hope this helps you.

Thank you, that helps Smile, I'll visit the site.

It is therefore very important to create a balance between exercise, rest and diet to stay healthy and fit. Exercising too much and eating too little will not do you any good so forget about reducing your food and fluid intake to reduce your body size and weight fast. You will get sick if you do that.

Beth said it all. I can only drop little tips since you and your hubby go out to dinner once he picks you up. Make sure you already know where you are going out for dinner. It's good to always plan ahead. Find out what is the healthiest thing on the meun, and try to have a salad before the real meal. It helps with cutting down half the calories in your dinner and half the fat. Drink a slip of water or what ever you are eating after each and every bite of food. I always take a slip after wards and wash it down. Not only that.. This helps you get fuller quicker.. Cut down your calories, and it's a safe way to eat in a nice restaurant. We know those foods are loaded with high fats and loads of  calories, and when you ask for low fat.. Do you really get what you ask for?

But they do have low fat foods now at these restaurants.

Once you get home.. Try to brush your teeth as soon as you can. It's okay to munch on a raw veggies or fruit or something if you still feel hungry after you have your dinner. You can always turn to reading. Something to keep my mind off the food until it's time to go to bed.

As for working out, you can always go for a 10 min workout program at first.
www.Beachbody.com has the 10 min trainer, and it's looks like a great program. Maybe you can add that in a few times a day. One in the morning and one when you get home. A few times a week.

Sorry for the long post.... Take care, and I hope something helps.

Edit to add a line ( but they do have low fat foods at these restaurants.)

i have been going round and round for a month not losing a pound...i think i finally got it figured out and here is what i am doing....

your daily calories should consist of ...

15-20% protein, 20-25% fat (good fat) 50-60% carbs (good carbs), sugar intake should be 40grams per 2000cal diet

it is not health to lose more than 1% of your weight per week.

go to this website and it will give you your specifics...http://www.phord.com/cc/

get a heart monitor!! i got the POLAR P4 $(80) and this is the best thing i have done.the heart rate monitor assigns a zone to stay within during exercise in order to burn fat. knowing this makes all the difference! once you try it, you'll know what i mean!

i try to eat a minimum of 1200 cals and maintain 800cal deficit each day to lose weight. ie..i burn 1900 cals avg daily w/out workout, so if my body needs 1200 cals a day to function; i only have a 700cal deficit..so i need to exercise to burn the extra 100 calories and if i eat more than 1200 cals, i have to exercise those cals off too.

finally, i am seeing results! the weight is coming off!!

One of the most important things you can do is to log your calorie intake.  I know that when I first started, it was absolutely shocking.  There were things I was eating that I thought were pretty good for me and they weren't.  They were horrible.  I just hadn't been paying attention.

Secondly, I'd tell you that instead of you and the hubby going out to eat, try ordering meals from ediets or something.  They're already prepared.  Just heat and eat.  Pretty equivalent, price wise, to eating out.  And ever so much better for you.  Then you can avoid what I've started calling the resaurant trap.

first of all, google your bmr (basal metabolic rate, the # of cals you need every day to keep your vital organs functioning) and NEVER go below that. if you do, your metabolism will slow and as soon as you eat a pinch more you will gain weight like crazy. eat as often as possible- preferably six small meals a day, try to eat every 2-3 hours. that will keep your metabolism high. also- try to do your exercise in the morning, it boosts your metabolism for the day. also metabolism boosting- green tea. drinking hot tea and diet soda makes you feel full and satisfies your flavor cravings. gum also works pretty well if you just need to keep your mouth busy. good luck!
