It's TOUGH! Yell hardest workout video i've ever seen. and i am soooo sore especially my lats (side rib cages towards back) that it hurts to touch them. It hurts to do anything, sit on the toilet, etc. it's supposed to be done every day but i can't cuz i hurt all over!! anyone else do this dvd yet? it'll give me results if i can muster the courage to stick with it.

P.s. i've only done level 1 about 5 times and tried level 2 once, and there's a level 3 ohmygod!

Jillian is one of the most successful trainers, so keep it up! I have the program on Exercise TV (<3 Comcast), but never did the whole thing. There's only levels 2 & 3 available, and I have a feeling I'll bust my butt doing those!

Keep going!

Like Goddess9 I don't have the DVD but I also have Jillian On-Demand, so I decided to try it out one day since I had skipped my morning workout...  I'm very familiar with Jillian since the Biggest Loser is one of my favorite shows.  There was only Level 3 the day I decided to try it.  And actually, I wasn't aware that it was a Level, I just thought that it was #3, and should have obviously assumed it was the hardest.  I'm in decent shape - workout regularly but still have some poundage to lose because I have a love affair with food and have been chunky my entire life - BUT...  this workout kicked my butt.  And I hear you on the sides and back being sore to the touch.  I lift weights regularly and I could not lift my arms for days after doing this.

I'm also under the old school thinking "No Pain, No Gain" so I would stick with it and before you know it you'll be shredding and not crying in pain anymore!

Jillian ROCKS!

Okay, I tried Shred level 2 because that was the lowest level available. I just finished, and boy did I want to die. LOL.

I'd like to think I'm pretty fit for my weight, but I have a feeling my lower abs and shoulders will never be the same. Jillian freakin' rocks, and I loved those double jump-ropes!

YES! I tried level 3 first and then level 2- It came up ON DEMAND that way. I am so glad I am not the only one who thought this was brutal! I read a lot of posts on here that make me feel like I have no stamina and I am doing something very wrong. Ex- running for 30 minutes...to me, running is at least 5mph. Well, I cannot do that for 30 minutes without slowing down. I got through both of these workouts but I can't tell you how relieved I am to hear that other people think they are tough too!

"Running" is relative. Jogging = running to most people, and that is anywhere from 3-whatever MPH. So when people say they're running for 30 minutes, it's usually not at a really fast pace. 5 MPH = 12 minute miles, so some people will be making that...but I run and I certainly don't jog that quickly.

I love the 30 shred videos!  I honestly think level 2 is a bit harder than level 3 for some reason.  I do these right when I wake up to get my blood pumping.  On the weekends if I cannot run outside due to the weather I do 2 and 3 together back to back.  SO FUN!!!!  :-D

I have the DVDs and I LOVE IT!

I have done levels 1 and 2 so far.  I got through both of these using 5lb weights so I decided to make it harder by doing level 1 with 8 lb weights, it kicks my butt each time!

I am trying to master level 1 and 2 before trying level 3. Cool

i am scared to even try level 3 but i'm going to give it a shot. i really have to pump myself up to get through this. she says she wants you to feel like you are going to die and i have seen the light!! leaves me sore for a couple days so hope that gets better.

I tried level 2 this week and it kicked my butt!  I like to alternate it with Turbo Jam to give my aching muscles a bit of a break...plus the variety helps.  Glad to see I'm not the only one out there who was sore after ;) haha!

p.s.- Balehead, nice pic!  I've liked him since i was 12 years old...Newsies, anyone!?!

I keep hearing about this and really want to try it.  I have Comcast - I didn't even realize they have an exercise section on OnDemand. *excited*

I actually enjoyed Level 3 more than Level 2. Don't get me wrong, I'm not some sort of Amazon here, but I liked the exercises more and I didn't want to die. Level 2 made me want to keel over.

Walking pushups are GREAT.

I totally agree with you about the Shred DVD......two is harder than three. I think the coupling of some of the exercises makes it way more difficult than three. But, they both kill your shoulders.....in a good way of course. I have to really push to get through the last combination on level three.....the traveling push up/plank row combo. OUCH!!! But to me that's the hardest part. That and the Rockstar jump~

This is the best workout DVD I've ever done. Cathe Freidrichs Step Fusion is high on the list too. It incorporates step and weights....lots of great leg work.

OK, so i see that alot of people of started this DVD, including me...but is anyone "shredded" yet?

Yeah, that's what I want to know!  Is anyone getting good results?

I have gotten amazing results. Can't solely credit it to Shred -- I supplement it with about 45 minutes of cardio kickboxing on some days and running on the others. But I've noticed that my arms, abs and legs are stronger and I can definitely see a lot of definition where there was none before.

I can't say that doing Shred alone (or with Diet) will work miracles but at the very least it will help non-advanced people gain upper body strength and cardio capacity, which is not a bad deal for $8 and 25 minutes a day.

Hi, I too have been doing Jillian everyday but I have been trying to find level 3 and I hae been unsuccessful. Would you by any chance know where I can get it because it is not on On Demand.

I was also wondering if you can give me any tips to lose weight. Doing the 30 Day Shred I have not lost a lot of weight but I have lost 12 inches in the last two months. I also walk on the treadmill for about 30-40 min 5-6 days a week.
