Anyone have a June Wedding to attend? and want to lose 15 pounds?....

hey! i had a few others that joined from the weight loss forum and now i'm moving it here so welcome...
today I am trying to do about 40 min. cardio and drnk plenty of water... i've been mixing a tsp of apple cider vinegar in my water... i read that it's an age old rememdy to flushing the system and cleansing...I've also been adding a little bit of cayenne pepper/lemon for taste - it almost taste like a bloody mary! yum!
trying to stay off the sauce for a few days atleast on 3rd day of no drinking! the wedding is June 6th so i have to drop the weight by then no excuses this time!
I'm with you! I am going on vaca June 5th and have a bout the same weight to lose.
i haven't had a drink in so long! lol its a combination of being broke and trying to not have empty cals. although i might have a drink friday but ill probably compensate by leaving room in my day for the calories.
i just got called into work, fridays my only day off. so at least ill be running around tonight (bc i work in retail)

domi_Drinking is the one thing that I think really slows the weight loss process for me, I notice if I don't drink for like a week or so, my weight/body feel lighter

I am looking to do 40 min/cardio/weights I have this Denise Austin Boot Camp DVD that I've been doing for almost a year now it's helped me drop about 16 pounds... my problem right now is that I am fluncuating and plateuing... my weight jumps from 140 to 149 when it's ttom....then I stay hovering around 143-144 and now I'm holding at 145, i know it's water weight because of my period... so I'm drinking a gallon of water today mixing w/Apple cider vinegar/cayenne pepper/lemon juice it's supposed to be a nice cleanser ... what's everybody else doing to drop weight today?
Today, I've been focusing on eating healthy (duh! haha) and drinking lots of water. I think I may have to take a day off from the gym though because I definitely procrastinated on writing my final paper for one of my classes. I know! I'm awful!! Hahaha...
Well i don't have a wedding -- but i do have a vacation in June -- Mexico baby!!!
I started last wednesday - as soon as I knew when we were going to try and get my butt in gear -- i wanted to lose 20 pounds by June 6th and did a colon cleanse to start me off -- well wow -- i lost 5 pounds already and hoping not to gain them back -- i assume it is mostly water weight!
we can do this -- what plans do you guys have for exercise?
Count me in! Family vacation at the beach June 6 and friend's wedding June 14th!
My plans for exercise are this:
M: 75 minutes of challenging yoga
T: 60 minutes weights class
W: Core strength and yoga
Th: 60 minutes weights class
F: Core strength and yoga
Sat: Run!! at least three miles
Sun: 90 minutes of yoga
I'm a yoga instructor so I can't help but get those days of yoga in- I need more cardio. The weather has been cold and rainy and not very conducive to outside running and I can only manage about three miles on the treadmill.
Other suggestions workout tips? I use the gym mostly rather than work out at home.

spade210_ the excercise plans I have is lots of cardio/strength/abs on balance ball... I just finished 50 mins of combo... I also started jumping rope
Loudcass_drinking lots of water always helps stave off hunger! so it helps forsure, i plan on that as well
have you guys noticed on the activities it say's jumping rope for an 60 min loses over 700calories!!! ... I figure... 10 min is good to start with... I jump for 1min stop jump for another 1min stop and keep upping my minutes until 10, music helps me
plus i plan on drinking lots of water and keeping my calories low... my problem is drinking! so today is 3rd day of noo drinking - i'm a wine lover and recently discovered how good certain beers taste! so i need a break cause last week i ballooned...
we have to lose 15pounds by june6th! so today is the second day of focus, i know it's early but it's a goal to stick w/I cannot faulter... what helps me is thinking of the end goal... I DO NOT want to be at a WEDDING fat as hell! THAT ALREADY HAPPENED TO ME, 2 years ago I went to my cousins wedding and some people i hadn't seen in 10years!!! and I had ballooned to 160!!! it was embarassing... not this time!!! I have to stop snacking late at night from boredom! sux!

I will have @ 1500 calories today and have walked twice for 15 minutes on breaks. I will also do core excercises tonight at home as well as wall squats and lunges.

back on the work out mode...
you know what guys at the end of the day it really has to do w/working out... mything is especially for the summer I have to get my arms and back in shape, there so flabby and embarressed to wear a tank top, i look huge...
my motivation is how i want to look in a sleevless dress w/toned legs/arms/stomach and definitely get my face to look a bit smaller...
we just look so much better when we are healthy and trimmer...

Hi my name is Belinda and I'd like to join. I don't have a wedding but I do have a vacation to Puerto Rico in June and being 15 lbs less by June would really be great. This is really a great idea to have a group work together like this.

i want to join. i dont have a wedding to attend in june but i'm going down south to see my brother and i really would like to lose some weight before i go. i havent seen him in a year and when he left i was at 120 now i'm at 150 (grrr). i need some kind of motivation.
I'm game. We have a wedding to attend on July 5th in southern CT. I want to wow them with a new look that can help me convince folks that they need to manage their diets and to workout to avoid serious medical problems. I need to lose 12 lbs to reach initial goal of 165 and 22 lbs to reach my desired"ultimate" (for me, my marriage weight 38 years ago!) of 155. I started at 222 about 6 years ago... talk about a journey! No I'd rather not!
I'm on medical leave at the moment due to a heart attack - no damage thank God. So my workout schedule its messed up since I used to workout in the morning everyday before work, then again at lunch for 30 minutes 3 days/week. Exercise is one reason I suffered no measurable damage from the heart attack, being in the ER when it started was another! ![]()
I workout with a trainer for 30 minutes 2x/week and add 20-30 minutes of cardio. On non-trainer days I'm currently shooting for 60 minutes of fat burn/cardio. I also add at least two slow sun salutations to keep my back flexed and basic stretching of everything.
My cardiologist told me to get on a low fat, low cholesterol, low sodium, low calorie diet, but provided no other guidance. I did some research here on other locations and am focusing on foods that help raise HDL cholesterol and lower LDL. Am also focusing on South Beach principals of limiting servings to 8 gms of sugar in order to control blood sugars and triglycerides. So I've added a serving of walnuts/pistachios/almonds to daily foods, and increase use of soy based products, e.g. using soy mild instead of cow's milk. CC sure helps me keep on track with these targets, especially trying to stay under 2000mg of sodium!
Well ok - lets see -- i started out at 223 last wednesday (4/9) i was downt o 218 by Monday (4/14) and am hoping to be a shade under 200 by June 6th! So 18 pounds in 7 weeks -- i don't think that is too crazy of a goal -- so far i am cutting down on carbs -- man am i a carb beast -- and i get SOO cranky when i don't getmy fix!!
I plan to keep up the water intake today. I have class tonight so I will probably not get any cardio in except for walking 15 min twice a day on breaks and walking to class. I will do more ab excercises and leg excercises tonight after class.
Im ready to weigh in next Monday...I am currently 174 and I want to be 172 at least by next Monday!!
