grew up in kc (mo) til i left home at 16. went to high school in overland park (shawnee mission ks). had a very good friend from wichita there... still go visit my dad every year or so, he is in stilwell, ks. i am in austin tx now, been in tx since i was 19.

I live near Topeka. I was wondering if anyone would start this thread. I was going to, but I wasn't sure if anyone would reply.

i was born here but when i was 18 i moved to indianapolis for 8 years.....i don't like it here I cant wait till Ican move back to indy.

I'm in Kansas also, just south of Fort Riley.

Is your husband stationed in Fort Riley? It sounds like there are going to be a lot of changes in that area.

Yes my hubby is stationed at ft riley. We just got here in January. They have formed a new brigade out here, so its starting to get very busy and fully of people!

We usually meet my parents in Junction City, so we go through Fort Riley quite a bit. Hey, you're close to Manhattan which is a pretty fun college town (if you're looking for things to do). Hope you like Kansas!

i live in kansas city...born and raised in the shawnee mission area, moved away for several years, and am *hopefully* only going to be here for a few months while i'm in physical therapy. nothing against KC, but after spending so many years travelling, being here seems to confine me.  i keep running into people from high school, and while they're great, i seem to just get into that high school mentality...:)
