Anyone know anything about green tea extract?
I hear so much stuff about green tea extract and weight loss, but its such a controversial topic and some people faithfully believe in it while others are completely skeptical.
So my question is, what are your opinons and has anyone had success with using green extract/pills?
I don't mean its a miracle pill or anything, but does it help at all?
If you have a very healthy diet, natural green tea will help a little bit, but not much. I used green tea pills to get healthier a year or two ago when I was not on a diet and I didn't lose any weight at all, but I don't think it can hurt. You just cannot rely on it.
Why not just drink green tea? :D
You can make em in the morning (3 tea bags + 3 cups of hot water), wait for it to cool, then lug it around with you in a water bottle and take sips throughout the day.
Loads cheaper than taking pills ;)
Plus I like the used tea bags as compresses for my eyes...works great for those morning puffy eyes.
I take Green Tea Extract - but not for weight loss but for the other health benefits because there are a ton. I wouldn't rely solely on Green Tea Extract for weight loss... it's a good addition to a healthy diet and exercise! I am sorry, but a healthy diet & daily exercise are what cause the weight loss!
And to save money: do as Desert_rose says: Simply drink green tea!! :)

Have to agree with rose. I've replaced coffee with tons of cream and sugary sodas with green tea (just a little honey added). This way I get the beneftis of the green tea, get plenty of water, and keep myself from drinking a lot of bad stuff. I do feel better and my metabolism is even to rising, which considering I just quit smoking, is pretty good.
