Anyone know anything about laser lipo?
I was just curious if anyone here has any real experience with this?
I'm losing weight by diet and exercise, but I'm an apple shape, and when I had a flat stomach before, I had to lose so much weight that I had a bum like a little child. Does this actually work?
I'm curious about it too. No matter what weight I am, from 120lbs to 155lbs I always have horrible saddlebags which just won't shift.
I was thinking about getting Vaser lipo which is similar in method ( a bit more invasive) but don't know anyone who's had either procedure.
It is a scam - it does not work. These people who offer this stuff are slime of the highest order.
Think about this - if it is effective - why don't we see it being used by the healthcare profession? And this crap about it being 80-90% effective in helping a person quit smoking... jeeze... if it's effective - that effective - why can't we get the $200 dollar treatments at the hospital - BAM! I'm quit!
Not to mention that lipo isn't that effective anyway - but if you are truly interested in spot mobilizing fat - there are injections that purport to help do this... though it scares the **** out of me to think about melting fat in certain places in your body using chemicals...
But trust me - low level laser therapy won't do anything like what they suggest - these slime ball scum sucking parasites are out to take your money by preying on your insecurities using promises of quick fixes.
squats and deadlifts and step aerobics work wonders to develop glute muscles so you dont have a flat butt
kickboxing really works the hip abductors
cheaper too
its tru. i got it dun.... its a scam
i kno i kno..... im an idiot. it was a bad time in my life
that's too bad...
I read about it in the telegraph (a quite good paper here in the UK), and she had it working...http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/dietandfitn ess/3353193/Weight-loss-pain-free-lipo.html
I do a lot of but exercises already, it's not flat, it just gets little... can't seem to build very much size, no matter how many squats I do. Oh well, I guess we can't change our body shapes :(
I don't know much about laser lipo but my sister-in-law worked for a plastic surgeon for many years and said that some people (most, in fact) that get lipo suction tend to gain even more weight back than they got sucked out in the first place. They think that lipe is a quick weight loss solution and don't change their lifestyle (b/c they think that fat will not return) but the weight that is gained back tends to get distributed differently than it would have before! I am not against this procedure or any plastic surgery...to each his own. Just be sure if you do get lipo of any kind...to continue your healthy eating and excercising lifestyle otherwise you could end up with more weight than you started out with and even a different body shape.
Regular lipo is effective... if you use it correctly. Lipo is meant for people who exercise, eat a good diet, and are at a good healthy weight, but just have one or two "trouble spots". Sadly, a lot of people think it will be a miracle, and they can just get a ton of fat lipo'd off and it'll stay that way. Not so.
When they remove the fat, you'll get bigger in OTHER areas where you didn't get lip. My mom had lipo on her thighs. Now they stay pretty small, but her calves and arms got bigger when she gained some weight.
Also, if you get lipo make sure they use the smaller ... I don't know what it's called, the hose thing, because the smaller it is the more even it will be, when they use a bigger hose it can be lumpy and uneven.
I DEFINITELY don't want to get traditional lipo... I was just curious about the laser lipo, and wondering if it was the "miracle" non-invasive thing it looked to be on the website. I mean, they've got laser hair removal and laser eye surgery... which seem to work. And now laser lipo...!
So how much is just regular lipo? I fit the description of someone that exercises, eats a good diet and I am at a pretty healthy weight (okay so I could stand to lose maybe 5 more lbs or so) but I do have some trouble spots that bother me.
I am 110% positive that I would never be able to afford it and that my family and friends would be mad if I considered getting lipo, but Im just curious about how much it actually costs?
I don't know how much it is but I know the recovery time is about 6 weeks (and you won't be able to move for three of those depending on the areas you get sucked). The opportunity costs alone are notable. And unless you are TRULY looking for spot work (cheek... chin) you're better off dieting.
I am a fan of plastic surgery - but lipo in my opinion is misused as much as breast augmentation is. The fact is most people don’t need it and they are acting on a dysmorphic flaw rather than a physical one.
