i just got a new itouch and i absolutely love it!! i am learning the ins and outs.

so far it seems that apple has a lot of its own way of doing things and i am trying to get around that.

like they deleted one of my movies i downloaded.

you can buy tv shows but they have them on the internet for free so why would one do that??

music videos are 1.99 a piece but they are on utube for free so i just have to figure out how to get them from there to my itouchUndecided

I've had mine for months and I still can't figure out how to get videos onto mine. haha

And I wish there was an easier way for adding album artwork.... it makes you add the photo for each song on the album...

No problem. Just go to this web page on Apple's web site to learn everything you want to know about the iPodTouch.

that is an obvious. did that one.

sometimes they dont tell you what they don't want you to do. it is based off of itunes and of course they are not going to tell you how to do things other than download from i tunes because that is how they make their money

Yeah the site doesn't really show you anything.

Rent a movie and you have 30 days to start watching it. Hit Play, and you have 24 hours to finish it — or watch it as many times as you want. Movie rentals disappear when they expire, so they won’t take up storage space.

When you’re browsing music, you can rotate iPod touch sideways to see your iTunes content in Cover Flow and browse your music by album artwork.

To see Cover Flow, rotate your iPod touch sideways.

To browse album covers, drag or flick left or right.

To see the tracks on an album, tap a cover  or the  icon with the little i inside a circle.

To play any track, tap the track, drag up or down to scroll through the tracks.

To return to the cover, tap the title bar.

To play or pause the current song, tap, the vertical bars icon.

when i download my movie, it deleted it. i want to watch it again. so i don't get this. maybe it can't distinguish between a rental and mine?

how do you get album covers for cd's that i have downloaded from my own cd's?

can you listen to the music and have a slideshow of your pictures going at the same time?

If you want to rip DVDs into your computer to add onto your iPod, you can use a program like THIS ONE. Its a Shareware application, so you might need to pay for the whole version.

If you want to pull YouTube videos and convert them to use on your iPod, then you can use THIS. This one is Freeware, so you don't need to pay anything.

As long as your albums are correctly labeled with the artist and album, iTunes should be able to download the artwork automatically. Usually when you rip a CD, it will add the correct labeling to the songs and download the artwork for you. If that isn't the problem, you should at least be able to select all the songs of the album and Get Info for them collectively. At that point you should be able to add the artwork to all of them together.

sim- Thanks for those links. For some reason, most of the time, iTunes doesn't automatically add the album artwork.

zizi- I know how to flip through the albumb artwork on my iPod... I just meant adding the artwork in iTunes... if iTunes doesn't automatically download the album artwork, you have to add it to each song for each album and it takes forever.

thanks eric! i knew someone would come through for me eventually! i love this thing. it sits on my desk i bought a ihome speaker for it. to watch video songs is going to be fun!

kat

You could also try a program to find the album artwork (Here's One). If iTunes won't find the album artwork, I'm not sure this program will do any better, but it may be worth a try.

sportstergirl- once you get more comfortable with your iPod, some people have learned to hack into the accelerator function and make stuff like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3MfQIswl3k&am p;feature=related

thanks eric. i am having fun right now downloading music videos! i just wish there was a way to play them one after the other like music so i don't have to touch the screen for each one while i am at my desk working. hmmm?

that popcorn and beer trick is cool

have you tried making a playlist of the music videos in iTunes? You should be able to play them all through that way.
