www.recipezaar.com is excellent, provides nutrition info on everything
As for a good cookbook, the Eating Well Cookbook is my latest favorite. I love that magazine too...

I don't know if its available where you are - but Company's Coming Light recipes is really good - lots of lower fat, lower calorie alternatives to favourite things.
Better Homes and Garden's "New Dieter's Cookbook" -- I have an old version from the 90s -- it's GREAT. I've made a lot of recipes from it and they all have turned out wonderfully. It's the best cookbook I've got. Try the library! Or they do have a newer version but I like mine best.
I bought a low cal cookbook. It was rubbish. To me, low cal is *often* healthy. But this wasnt. Just small portions of boring foods, still using butter and cream, sometimes calling for a lite or reduced fat (but not often). It was just packed with salads, that were tiny portions. So I jsut use some of the ideas (yawn) take out the butter and rubbish and make more of it.
I find it much easier to get recipies and doctor them, or get a low-fat/carb cookbook and in the low fat one, sub the sugar, and low carb one, sub the fat.
Or just cook simplier meals. Its very easy to healthify meals, jsut ask the people around here if you're unsure.
Recipezaar is good. Try www.taste.com.au and search for low kJ. I still docotr recipies tho, to healthyfy them.

Cooking Light magazine is great for good recipes. I check new cookbooks out of the library before buying my own copy.
For a basic cookbook, have a look at the ones by the American Heart Association.
red herring's right - low cal doesn't mean healthy at all, and some authors think that 500 calories a serving is low calorie.

Moosewood Low Fat Favorites is the best cookbook ever! So many good recipes and tips about healthy eating. I would definitely reccomend it.
I have several excellent cookbooks by Sandra Woodruff, a registered dietician whose books have great easy recipes with nutritional info broken down. Secrets of Cooking for Long Life is a classic. My favorite is Secrets of Fat Free Italian Cooking. Great recipe for a Turkey Bolognese sauce in there that's delicious on whole wheat linguini. There are other books in the same series with different authors like Secrets of Fat Free Greek Cooking and Secrets of Fat Free Chinese Cooking that are also excellent.
If you do a search on Amazon.com for "Sandra Woodruff" most of these books will come up and there are new and used copies often for just a few dollars. I have a whole shelf full of them and they're my go-tos for many of my favorite ethnic dishes.

Vegan Planet...
I'm not a vegan, but this cookbook has my most-used lite recipes. It teaches you how you don't need to rely on high calorie dairy and meat products. Most of the recipes are very simple too.

My two favorite low-fat healthy cookbooks are by the same author, Anne Lindsay. The Lightheard Cookbook and the Lighthearted Everyday Cookbok are the best - I've had them both for years (the pages are well worn), but the recipes are easy, and the results are yummy. Nutritional breakdown is given for all recipes. I have tried other healthy cookbooks, but always come back to these two.
