This is absolutely perfect! I'm going to be a freshman in college, and move-in day to the dorms in August 25th. And it just so happens, my 18th birthday is the 29th. Good timing.
I see it's weigh in day. I started at 190.8 about a week ago.
This morning I was at 187. :D
I guess my goal for August 25th will be 170-175. :)

I walk daily (at least 1 hr total). Cardio 3 days a week. Weight lifting 3 days a week.
Calorie in take no more then 1300. Deficiancy at least 500 calories a day.

Every morning for the last 4 weeks or so I have gotten up early and done at least a 30 minute work out. Today... I turned off my alarm and went back to sleep, I feel terrible and am now trying to figure out how to make-up for it. I tell myself I will work out when I get home tonight (but that rarely works for me). So I thought if I joined a group and know that some one is going to ask "Did you do your work out today?" I will feel to bad if I say no, so I will just get up and do it.

So far I lost 5 lbs in 10 days (average of 1 lb every 2 days)! Before calorie counting, I was easily eating about 3000 a day; snacking added up for me and I had no idea! For me, just being conscious of what I eat seems to help A LOT. I am currently trying a zig zag diet to confuse my metabolism to burn more calories, and that seems to work. It's hard to say whether the calorie counting alone is what works, or the zigzagging. But I am trying both just for the heck of it. My zig zag schedule is 1400 MWF, 1200 TuTh, 1600 SaSu. I am also taking Hydroxycut once or twice a day for the appetite suppressant feature, which believe it or not seems to help. I try and make it to the gym at least a couple times a week with a girlfriend. I have been working on my legs mostly, with circuit training machines, also a bit of abs and arms. Then I finish with 20-30 mins of cardio. One of the trainers at the gym said that it is best to do your cardio AFTER your weights, because you burn more that way. Good to know! (I always used to start w/ cardio). I also try to do a yoga class once a week.
I am pleased with my results so far, so hopefully this continues! Good luck and see you next Thursday!

update on yesterday: stayed with my three goals :)
so far today: specialk k, protein shake and banana for break, and special k and carrots for lunch, will update, so glad i found all you girls for support!

I'm 28, 5'7".
I've just started a low-carb, low-cal eating plan and I'm going to begin the "Slim in 6" exercise program next week. Currently, I walk about 5 miles a day - burning 300-500 calories.
hey girls, so yesterday was good, met my 3 goals again! :) todays another day had lunch and breakfeast so far, but getting kind of hungry today, so trying to keep my self distracted till eating time again, i was also wondering if anyone here is taking any supplements?
I had a baddddd weekend. I'll make up for it though!

I'm gonna excercise like a monkey this week!!!! (not that I know how they excercise!)
but my obsession is HOT WINGS and Gummi Bears at the moment
hahaa i like that, excercies like monkeys i think we all need to start doing that, andd hot wings and gubbi bears, defffff an interesting combo :) so last night i broke all 3 of my rules, and it was pretyyyy bad, but im not gonna get down on myself about it, i know i can do this, it was just one night, so im going to start out today right, looking forward to excercising and eating healthy this week! im thinking of weighing in saturday or sunday, we'll see howit goes, okay have a good day ladies!

My highest weight (at nine months pregnant) was 180, and I had my son 4 months ago. I didn't start losing weight ( I literally stayed at 178 EVEN AFTER my baby was born) until about 10 weeks ago.
