I enjoy biking to work everyday over the "biggest hill in the city", the Williamsburg Bridge.  Going from Brooklyn to Manhattan on this walkway is a workout, but also very beautiful!

I've recently taken up biking from my home in the bronx to work in Queens. It's a bit tough (I'm a beginner) and a little tricky to avoid potholes and cabdrivers, lol, but I really enjoy the ride. Plus it makes me feel super healthy!

I used to ride a lot when I was a kid, Manhattan, 75th & 3rd, to Rockaway on a regular basis. Used to ride around Central Park with little effort. Wish I had that body now. I started walking in January and now walk 6 miles each day. I would like to get a bike but I don't want to buy it and then stop using it. Maybe I'll do the garage sale thing and find a cheap one first to see if I'm into it.

Anyone considering doing an Ironman after this weekend? Say next July, give your self a year to get ready.

Not All Processed Foods Are Created Equal
Fact: a diet containing whole, fresh fruits and vegetables is one of the best for a healthy mind and body. Although true, it can be hard to keep food fresh at home for longer periods of time, and if you have no time to shop every few days, boxed and canned foods become appealing. We often hear about heavily processed frozen dinners and processed foods worth avoiding, but there are minimally processed foods that do pack a lot of nutrition and may be worth having in the fridge or cupboard.
