Howdy!  Welcome to the site.  I think you just started to chat.  :)

I'm 41, also 5'2" and am working on losing about 60 pounds.  I just really got started about two weeks ago, but it's all going well so far.  I've found this site very helpful, using the food log and the recipe analyzer.  I can put in everything I plan to eat for a day, see how many calories I've got there and so on.  Sometimes I find I actually need to add more calories!

Lots of very nice people with some great information on the site.  I'm sure they'll be jumping in here shortly.

Welcome!

I've been a Calorie Count user for a while now  but have not made an account until recently and started a diet recently too. Initially, my goal was to lose 37lbs also, but it's now ~25lbs. I'm 5'4". You start by finding your minimum caloric intake to maintain weight under the tab "tools". After that, you  use the tool where you put your initial and final date of your goal as well as your goal weight, and it tells you how much calories you should eat per day to achieve your goal weight by your desired time. Then, just log in the food you eat under the my account tab and yeah.
This the right place.  I started here in 2006 and last the weight I wanted 50 lbs.  I regret to say that I did not stay with the site after I lost the weight.  I went through some really big changes with family, home, kids and have gained back 37 lbs.  I just got back on this tonight.

I am 40, 5'4" and have two young kids.  both of which need to eat high calorie foods because they are light eaters.  I hope you decide to stick around.

You have many supporters on this site and great recepies. This site is great to me it showed me how many calories I should eat a day and how to eat healthier which is even better for me and others. You will do great as long as you keep on track and have confident that you can do this and you will good. I'm also in Mass South Hadley I think like 45 from you. You can do this and the site and other people like me are here to help out.Smile

I have 25 to 35 pounds left to lose depending on how I feel at that time. I'm from Western, MA actually (around the Springfield area).

Hello, I am trying to loose about 20 pounds. I work in the worcester area and live in mass. I am new to this site also and not sure where to start. Have you started any exercising or diet plan? Diet is the hardest part for me. and just finding the time to exercise!!
