Would anyone like to join a last 10 lbs club with me??
Hi there,
Would anyone like to join me.....I weight about 142 lbs and im about 5'8'' - i wear a size 7-8
Im about 2 mths i would like to drop that "last 10 lbs" the toughest!! and be a size 5 or so
We can weigh in each friday and shar stories of what we do to loose the weight - eating habbits exercise etc.
Im not looking to loose drastic amount of weight just the tummy and hips and i really need support and motivation - i have starved myself before - was very happy with the reslults then was sick for days - feeling sick and faint all the time.
I know i can do this the right way but i need the support - because i know i am ina position to allow myself to develop and eating disorder (opening up and being honest)

I'm 5''1' 121lbs and want to get to around 115, I would be happy though if I build muscle and stay around 120 just looking more toned...

What types of things are you doing to loose weight?
My stats are very close to yours.
I am 5' 8" and weigh 140. I would love to lose the ten pounds i gained from the summer beer drinking.

last 8lbs for me. and i agree that the last couple lbs are SO hard to loose... I don't need to loose more, but I think i will feel more comfortable going into maintainance mode at 125. I'm going to be really busy with finals until the end of next week so i think i will eat 1200 calories a day since i will be getting no excercise at all... (I'm 18 and have stopped growing when i was 14) i will do some butt/stomach squeezes or something throughout the day though.

I am new here too so im not exacally sure how these "clubs" work - but i think we all post here our hard work and what we are eating as well as weigh ins and i think we just offer eachother alot of support to work towards our goals!
I think i will be doing more so toning and the 1250-1300 calories as i do not have time for much excercise but will start to do some walks a few times a week.
Does anyone have any great food tips?
PS - i love peanut butter - what is everyones take on how bad or good this can be for you? hehe silly question! i know!

I'm 5' 10", medium frame

Mostly I just want to get toned, toned, toned in the process. I'm a big exerciser so I tend to eat more cals than most people (1800). I've lost 27 pounds since last March.
I've heard a couple people say it works best for the last 10 to do it slowly, by just having a smaller deficit each day (250 cals or so). It's so hard to get off because our bodies are accustomed to losing weight and are trying to conserve. It has taken me around 2 months to lose the last 4!!! Aah!
I'm ready to kick it up a notch and get to that goal weight once and for all. I think weighing in on Fridays is a great idea and will keep us motivated.

I'm 5'7, 139, female, small frame, and I need to get rid of the chub around my hip and tummy.
I weigh 134, and Would like to get down to 125. So, 9 pesky lbs to go. Oh, and I am 5'6", 20 years old and very small frame.
My goal date is March 7, but I won't mind at all if I reach it before then. I am going to be at my parents (in the middle of nowhere with no internet) for a couple weeks so I will be missing the Dec 21 and probably the 28th weigh-ins. I plan to go for maintenance for those weeks, but kick it hardcore in the new year.
I eat between 1300 and 2000 calories a day, depending on exercise. I usually do 3-4 hours of aerobics and 1-2 hours of running a week. Except right now I'm skipping the gym completely to study for finals (yuck). Any other studnets in the group?
I work out about 5 times a week--weights, pilates, and running anywhere from 3-7 miles. I aim for 1300-1500 calories per day depending on how much I've exercised that day.

Im 5'6" and 138pds. I want to be around 126pds and a size 4 or 5 :)
Im worried about the holidays taking there toll.... trying to allow my selfs saturdays to not count calories and just enjoy the holidays so that i don't feel im missing out. and for the other 6days, I eat 1350 cal a day and work out 4days.
I here that the last ten pds are the hardest as well....in the last 2 weeks ive only lost a pd...where i was loosing on average 2 a week before... grrrr frustrating. So im hoping that we can all work together to help keep motivated. :)

I run four times a week. At least two long distance runs (5-8 miles and increasing) and at least one sprint workout. I've started working out my upper body about three times a week but need a gym membership to take it up another notch. I eat 1200-1600 calories a day and try to maintain a 600+ deficit, although I'll eat up to maintenance every few days to keep my metabolism stoked and make sure I don't feel deprived. I'm starting to think that I'm going to have to get even more strict on the quality of what I put into my body, though.
The last few pounds sure are hard! I'm constantly about to give up because I'm so obsessed by thoughts of eating "real" food, but luckily the rational part of my mind is almost always on hand to remind me that eating that chocolate croissant is only going to be satisfying for five minutes, and then it's going to give me agony for the next few days.
