Would anyone like to join me in loosing around 34lbs by the New Year?
hi,
i'm 27, i weight 154lbs and want to loose 34 lbs in the 22 wks leading up to the new year. (GW: 120lbs)
i'd like to meet people with similar goals who would be interested in keeping each other going and encourage exercising and healthy eating. I'm going to weight myself on thursdays (tomorrow!)
I'm really looking forward to making positive changes to my life! let me know if your interested.

Good morning, everyone. I have been keeping up the workouts but haven't been that great about logging calories, however i stuck to my new way of eating and this morning i weighed 146lbs. So its going in the right direction.

Down a two and a half pounds from last week and today I'm 150.
Can i join. i started a weight loss thread also last friday and have lost only lost 3 lbs. but i am confident that i will stay with my thread and this thread and lose the weight i need to.

I still haven't weighed myself, because I haven't been to the gym in over a week. I've been SO BUSY! Active busy, though. Tennis twice a day and teaching special needs kids how to ride the bike (I've been literally SPRINTING chasing the kids)
My body looks better and I've been getting TAN, but I still have to weigh myself and see my progress. I hope the pounds drop along with the inches!
Once I know my weight I'll edit this and inform you guys!

Although I did weigh myself right after I ate dinner at 6:30. It's just when I happened to go to the gym. Because I use the gym scale. I think I'm around 164, though. Let's hope!

I think I started this challenge at 168 something, so I am doing all right. EDIT: yeah. My goal for 8/31 was 165, so I am ahead of the game for a change. YAY!!!!!!!!!

Happy Thursday all!!! I had a pretty good week this time around. My official weigh in is:
Last week 199.5
This week 197
Woohoo that's 2.5 lb this week!!! I've still got a chance to get to my end-of-August goal of 194, but it means I will have to lose 3 lb in 10 days. EEEK! The problems there might be that my gym is closed this week for "maintenance week", plus it will be TTOM in about 2 days. But I'm sure I can at least get close. I've been going for walk/jogs during the time I usually go to the gym.
So my extra goals for this week are:
--make sure I get as much exercise as I can... and not let the gym being closed be an exuse to slack off
--drink plenty of water and steer clear of salty stuff (to help minimize menstrual gain)

Only one pound loss. :( I'll have to kick it up and make up the difference next week - though that's pretty good considering I cheated almost all weekend. :x Doing the math I realised that in order to reach this goal, I'd have to lose two pounds a week every week between now and New Years. That means, I guess, that I really have to buckle down!
sorry i've not been around since starting the post, i fell ill and was in hospital. i'm feeling better now but am going to do the weight loss more slowely, my main proirity is to stay healthy.
I'm glad lots of people are into the challenge. well done to everyone who's trying hard, i know its not always easy.
ps. i'd have to loose just under 2lbs a week to reach my goal to at this rate! i'm going to check my calorie allowance etc and work out what i'm doing this week :)
