I live in Orange County, Orlando, Fl =P
OC in FL or OC and Orlando? lol.
I grew up there. I actually went to Foothill High School (Technically Santa Ana). That was 10 years ago but I bet they still have Ruby's! I love me some Ruby's and they have healthy options too. I was a big Del Taco fan as well.
yep, they still have rubys. :)
Orange is the name of the county i live in inside Orlando, Fl :)

My boyfriend's from Tustin!

..his favorite place was In 'N' Out. haha :D

Igo back and forth between laguna/newport and granite bay (in nor cal) but my favorite places in the oc would def have to be: dukes in huntington, for mexican food DEFINITLY eat at javiers in laguna beach, bjs in laguna, cpk in long beach and newport, cheesecake factory in newport, i looove rubys too!

im allergic to seafood but my exbf used to LOOOVE wahoos fish tacos in irvine and laguna.

I used to live in San Diego (I know it's not OC but it's close by), I miss: Ruby's, In N Out, Rubios, and any Cali-Mex place.

I moved to Texas, I HATE Tex-Mex, they put peppers and corn, and weird stuff in everything. They don't have burritos out here (they call everything a taco) and it's not uncommon to see taco's made with "mission" tortillas.

I miss my California/Carne Asada burritos and my TJ taco's with american guac (I have YET to see any of these out here). I also miss "Taco's El Gordo" if you've never been to one and there's one near you. GO! OMGoodness so cheap & delish!

  • Maki Yaki on Chapman--lots of choices
  • Del Taco bean and cheese burrito
  • Mimi's Cafe citrus salmon salad (don't get a muffin with it!)
  • Marie Callendar's small apple, gorgonzola, walnut salad with chicken
  • If you are going to splurge, go to Pinot Provence across from South Coast Plaza with a friend and split an entree
  • In fact, most places serve such big portions, that the split with a fried is a good idea

sorry--it posted twice

eeewwwww Mission.

if you're going to spend so many calories on a tortilla, it might as well be a nice, floury, authentic one--not one that tastes like rubber!

thank goodness for the authenticity in Tucson :D

haha innout is the best! :P

try looking at healthydiningfinder.com

I grew up in Garden Grove, moved out to AZ a year ago, but I found this site to be pretty useful. As for any hole in the wall type of yummy place to eat, i've no idea. I lived off of mc donalds and jack in the box :)

in n out isnt too bad actually if you just don't get the bun buttered

whatcha' in the mood for?

they butter the bun at innout?

Hmm Is Thai Cafe any good? I looked at the menu and it seemed to be too westernized. Then again after spending two weeks in Thailand I can say that pretty much about all the Thai places. There is a pretty good Thai restaurant in New Port Beach on PCH. I believe it is called Royal Thai. Parking kind of sucks thought.

The Pho Bak is not bad, they have another location in Irvine on the corner of University and Michelson. Although by NorCal standards it is mediocre. If you like Korean Soon Tofu there is this awesome place place called Koba Tofu House on Culver. There is also another one near it by Super Irvine grocery store. Honestly the only good restaurants in Irvine as far as I am concerned.

If you are in to Indian, there is nothing really good in Irvine.

For Sushi there is Kura Sushi in Costa Mesa. Sushi quality is OK, but it is cheap. Plus atmosphere is pleasant. There is another sushi place by Royal Thai. The quality and taste are great, but atmosphere is just horrible. It is very small and loud, you can't even hear a person near you. I walked away with temporarily hearing loss. lol

For Korean BBQ there is a great place in Tustin it's on Red Hill/El Camino intersection. I think it is called Seoul Garden BBQ Buffet. Yes it is a buffet, but they have great variety of meats, sea food, and vegetarian options.

I also like souplantation in Irvine. Yeah I know I am weird. Compared to other locations they are quite clean, and they have soy sauce you can put on baked potatoes.

For frozen desserts I go to Golden Spoon. I was pretty addicted to that place. ha ha.

Someone mentioned Spectrum. The Red Robin there is ok, but the rest is over priced and just usual mall type food. They did have this awesome tea place, but it was closed and now there is a freaken burger place chain there. Yell
