Anyone with 20 to 35 pounds are welcome, even below 20 are fine. I weigh 160 and am 5'4 (heavy, i know). what about you?

What are you doing to get in shape?
I am trying to eat very well (1300 - 1400 cals a day). For the month of August I'm not going to drink a drop of alcohol. And I'm determined to get my fat ass to the gym at least twice, hopefully 3 times a week.

I lost only 5 pounds then gain 3 pounds. Help, I exercise for 45 to 1 hour and 15 min on treadmill, am I doing something wrong?

Spooooky... I'm 5'4'' and (as of this morning... crossing fingers here) 158lbs. My goal weight is 125-128. I take each day one at a time, and try to stay in a 1200-1300 cal range, and exercise for 1/2 an hour on the days I don't waitress (cuz on those days, I run around like a crazy person for at least 3 hrs). It seems to be working so far (have been doing this just under a month) and I'm hoping that it's not all water weight that I'm losing. Since I'm planning on continuing this for at least 8 months (through the holidays...OMG!!.. I'm already terrified!) my focus is on trying to go "slow and steady" instead of a crazy bootcamp experience (which always results in colapsing after 4 weeks, and then MAJOR binging).
i tried the 6 week body makeover by michael thurmand, has anyone tried this? It worked for the first 1 or 2 and then I plateaued. Now I am thinking about still restricting my sodium but going a low fat/low calorie diet. Any recommendatons?

I, too, am 5'4", my starting weight was 146lbs, I am now 141lbs (took 6 weeks to lose, but was on holiday for one week where I gained 4lbs!)
Looking to get down to 119lbs (8-and-a-half stone) because that's what I was when I looked my best.
I'm restricting my calories to 1250 a day (although am considering zig-zagging them now since I've plateaued this week) and am getting to the gym for an hour, four times a week (but managed 5 this week!)
It's nice to read other people's stories and experiences - it stopped me from giving up this week when I hadn't lost a bean!

OK I dont feel alone. I am 5'2" and 147 lbs. I am trying to stay at 1200 calories or lower. I am doing ok today 3:05pm and only 705 calories. I have only been walking after work with my puppy. I really need to do some more meaningful exercise. I would like to get down to 110-113. And lower if I can!
Hi. I'm also 5'4 and I'm 152 lbs. My goal weight is 125-130. I think it would be fun to have some motivation w/this since i've been putting this off for a year. My problem, Night Eater. I can go on all day w/o overeating but at 9:30 p.m. (or even later) i eat everything. I know that's how I gained the extra 20 lbs w/in the past two years. PLUS, i'm happily married and my husband has the fastest metabolism =( Hope to hear from all of you soon. I hope this works.
Sorry to break the streak, but I'm 5'5" (and a teence), weigh 160, down from 170 when I started. Goal = 139. I hardly exercise (time is the issue) except to walk occassionally. Don't really have an intake goal (cal. wise), am 54 y.o. Go team!
Hello~ I'm 5'6", currently 171 (down from 175), wanting to be down to at least 150... need to get a healthy weight before gaining again when I get pregnant (which will hopefully be by the end of the year!).
Hi, all....I think I belong here. I'm 5'3" and weigh about 144. I'm down almost 6 pounds since starting Calorie Count on July 15th. I'd like to get down to 120-125. Seems reasonable, especially when I hear alot of you with the same goal as me. I, too, eat between 1300-1500 per day. Would like to stay around 1300 cal, but I'm starving all the time and always end up going over my limit. What are some low-cal snacks you guys eat? Eating fruit seems to make me hungrier!

I'm 5'5" (almost) and 161 this morning, down from 185, goal is ~135. I typically eat 1200-1400 calories plus more when I exercise, I just joined a jujitsu class which I'm sure will help me lose some more weight or put on more muscle, both are desirable in my opinion. Oh, I'm 33.
Looks like I'm the lone guy. 6'4" 240 and trying to get down to 200-210. Not entirely sure about the end wait. I'd like to get my body fat index so I can fix a weight and stick to it for awhile. My BMI is high of course but I have less fat on my stomach then when I was under 230 and at a 30% body fat. I was all fat back then.

To maintain this current weight I'm supposed to eat a little over 3,000 calories a day. Will I lose more than 2 pounds a week if I stay at 2000 calories a day and burn 3000+ calories a week through cardio at the gym. This does not include my tae kwon do classes. I sometimes cheat on the weekends, you know beer and all, but I've started to switch over to diet sprite and vodka or vodka/gin and tonics.
Any advice would be appreciated. And good luck on the weight loss.
