Has anyone lost weight using the Gazelle?

Quote  |  Reply

Hello,

I have a Gazelle exercise machine, and to me it doesn;t seem like an actual work out when I use it, I was wondering if the machine has worked for anyone, and how long do they use it for? and if there is any special way to use the machine to help burn more calories, I have a 12 month old daughter and a husband that don't give me any time to go to a gym, so I figure getting on my gazel;le is better than doing nothing at all, but it doesn't seen to be helping.Frown

I know what you mean about it not feeling like you are really working out. I tried one when they first came out and thought it was useless. But I just got another one yesterday and realized that you have to push yourself really hard with it. You have to imagine your sprinting really fast and keep at for about an hour. I was really sweating and I can feel it in my legs big time today. Also--lean back (bring your feet the the back or the foot holder) and it is a good workout as well.  I also have to be home with the family most of the time so I am stuck inside - for a very cheap machine I hope it works-I have read many blogs that say it is very effective-if you can push it hard.

maybe buy a resistance band and tie it around the rockers?

not a bad idea, I'm going to try that.
