Hi, My son was in Japan and loved it. I was stationed in Germany 8 yrs and 4 years in Greece and the states of course. My hub and I are retired army. Thanks for your service to our country.

COOL! I was at Misawa Air Base from 2004-2006. Currently stationed at Eglin AFB in Florida and my hubby's at Hurlburt field. I LOVED Japan!! Go out, travel and see the sites! Head on up to Hirosaki Castle for the Cherry Blossom festival! It runs April through May. Its like you are in another era! OOh, also check out the Sapporo Beer Festival and Ice Festival!! You either have to fly or take a ferry, but I.T travel should have trips lined up for base personnel. HAVE FUN YOU LUCK SONNOFA....

Checking - still living in Japan?  I arrived in Japan 2 1/2 months ago so I'm trying to see how others are able to keep up with this website in Japan and how that's going.

I'm from a military family. My grandad was Army, my brother was too, my cousin is a Marine, and my dad was Army but now he's in the National Guard. He's in Iraq right now; hopefully home in the spring!
