Maybe we can get a local club. Got out to eat sometime or something. (Wouldn't that be a hoot?! A diet group going out to eat!)
Plus, on the stats page here, they have the top 15 states weightloss totals and we don't even make the list!! We totally need to fix that!

Worked in Duluth, MN for a while, but not there any longer.

I lived in Edina for 5 yrs then we moved to Port Washington, WI - 30 miles north of Milwaukee.

We live just north of the burbs. Actually, that bridge collapse was a major route that our friends and families all take every day. Scariest thing EVER. Especially since I've always gotten really scared crossing large bridges like that - I'm always on edge until we get to the other side. And to think I used to think I was insane for that!
I'm in Andover
I lived in Roseville for 3 years before moving back to WI (where I grew up), and then to AZ 2 1/2 years ago. Mpls-St. Paul is one of the few areas in the Midwest I would ever consider moving back to. I loved it there (winters notwithstanding), and I really miss the Mall of America.
I didn't use the 35W bridge daily for my commute, but I've crossed it hundreds of times. It's hard for me to imagine how people are going to get into Mpls from the northern suburbs without it. I can't believe it's gone!
Sorry - didn't mean to go off on a tangent...carry on.

Minneapolis here. =)
Wow, I'm in Andover too! Small world.
Finally, some MNians coming out of the woodwork. :)
You know, the winters actually aren't all that cold anymore. I think I had to stop wearing shorts for a few days last winter, but that was about it.

I'm in NY but I'm moving to Maple Grove!
Seriously.. I used to HATE winters here. I love it here otherwise.. but the cold and snow would have been the only thing to make me want to move. Which seems to be steadily improving.
We really should have a meet up at some point. I've been thinking that for awhile. =D

I find myself missing the first big, bad snowstorm that socks everyone in, but I don't miss the cold, snow, and the endless cloudy days. Here in AZ (well, PHX), our "winter storms" usually consist of rain (snow in the mountains), temps around 50-60 degrees, (that's now what I consider "cold." Weird) and wind. I think the winters are the one thing that would keep me from moving back there, all other things being equal.
Born and raised in Duluth. Moved out to WA shortly after graduating from U of M, couldn't take another winter. :)
Haha, my boyfriend was also born and raised in Duluth. I visited his family back there in May and it was gorgeous, though I imagine the winters are BRUTAL
Seriously you guys, the winters are NOTHING here now. Ya, we used to be all proud of how bad our winters got. We'd brag about the 80 below and stuff like that.
I don't even think the birds fly south anymore though. If anything, they leave for the summer because it is so dang hot and humid with NO RAIN for forever. I don't even know why we bother with grass on our lawns these days really. Grass grows great in the winter though, which is good, because it doesn't have any snow on it.
Did you know the moose has all but left MN for good? It is too hot here for them now and they would die if they stayed so they are all going to Canada. learned that last spring when I went on a trip up north to go moose sighting. No moose.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH STOP MOVING MY POSTS! I PUT THEM THERE FOR A REASON!
I carefully considered what area to put this one in and I WANTED IT THERE. I wanted WEIGHT LOSS people to answer and to have a WEIGHT LOSS CLUB. This belongs in the lounge just as much as any of those other "25 and 25 to lose club" posts!
You could at LEAST ask.
Now PUT IT BACK!
