mostarburst - its probably been about 7 years or so.  I actually went down to SPringfield to tour SMS for a prospective candidate for college, and we to Branson and made a weekend of it.  It was just me, my  mom and some friends and it just wasnt all that fun.  There was much more to do in Springfield.
Yea Branson has grown alot in the last 7 years.  They have all kinds of entertainment, dining, shopping.  You name it and they have it.

We love Springfield too.

i love it here in STL theres SO MUCH to do!
We have friends that live there.  There last names is Presson.
Kansas City, MO (but real close to the KS state line)
mostarburst, I am in Salem, 45 minutes from Rolla and about 2 hrs from STL.
I currently live in Overland Park, on the Kansas side of the KC metro.  However, I lived on the Missouri side for most of my life, and I currently work in KC, MO.

I travel through Missouri all the time, this weekend I'm heading down to Steelville for a float trip.  Hopefully for a dry weekend down in southern Missouri.
Thought I'd chime in here as well.  Although I'm on the KS side (Leavenworth to be exact) My house is only about 2.5 miles from the river. I graduated from a MO school, and had lived there for 5 or 6 years.  that close enough? :)
Hey everybody,
I'm from Jefferson City. Born in St. Louis, Grew up in Jefferson City, lived a while in the state of Maine, but been back here in Jefferson City for about 30 years. I love it!

I live in Marshfield (just east of Springfield).

And Branson is a good place to visit.  Go to Silver Dollar City and you can get your days exercise walking up the hills. Smile

I am a New Yorker who has lived in several states since leaving Barker, New York thirty odd years ago and now am living in Peculiar, Missouri I just moved here in August on my birthday. I lived in Raymore, Missouri prior to that for three years. I could also use a few friends as I am relatively new to this.
They have a lot of outlet shopping in Branson I went there with my aunt the day after Thanksgiving last year terrible traffic but a lot of bargains. I love Bass Pro Shop and their catalog outlet store has some of the best prices I have ever seen.
Hi Barker! What is Peculiam near? I have heard of it, just can't place it right now.
Peculiar is right on hwy 71 it is 6 miles north of Harrisonville and 6 miles south of Raymore/Belton and about fifteen or twenty miles south of KC
