Anyone from NC?

I'm new to the sight and I have lost 7lbs in my first 3 weeks and was wondering who all on this sight lives in NC?

I lived in Greensboro for about 15 years until a few years ago. Now I'm in southside Virginia. But I still visit my mom - not that far from Charlotte. And my bf lives in Greensboro. And my daughter's dad lives in Cary so I'm down there twice a month....

I am not far either. I am in Chesnee, SC which is about 20 minutes from NC.

I live in Charlotte, and I agree, Go Devils!  

I'm from NC.  I my home is in the western part of the state, north of Asheville.  Right now I'm in Chapel Hill studying.

YAY! ASHEVILLE! aka Hippieville where all the food is organic and all the stores smell of patchouli (which I couldn't remember how to spell, so I typed "hippie smell" into google, and the wikipedia entry for patchouli was the 4th hit)

I'm in NC-I live at Lake Norman (Sherrills Ford), but I work in Hickory.

I'm related to the Sherrills of Sherrils Ford!

But who isn't around the Hickory area... :)

Lake Norman is such a nice area. We rented a yacht once and had a picnic on an island... very nice!

My hubby works at a marina, so we get to take boats out all the time.  It's a nice place to live.  Right now it's no so nice-the lake is 6 feet below full pond.  They have closed almost all the access ramps & if we dont get any rain soon, the marinas wont be able to put any boats in.

yeah, my mom lives near hickory - not too far away - and she said they're on water restriction... can only water the lawn/wash cars 2 days a week

here in charlotte...am a transplant from san antonio, tx. moved here this past may.

heat and water restrictions are nothing new to me! :)

I like the downtown area of Charlotte, but hate driving anywhere near the greater charlotte area...

How are you adjusting so far?

I've always heard that San Antonio has great food festivals (the more reason I should never go there!  ::giggle::)

Welcome kidde628.I live in Hildebran but have a Hickory address.Only 2 or 3 minutes from hickory.Grew up in hildebran.Moved to morganton then moved back to Hildebran 14 years ago.I love where i live.I work in Hickory off of Hwy 70.Hope you enjoy the site as much as i do.

I'm about 20 miles north of Wilmington... at Topsail.... but I'll be moving back to NJ as soon as my house sells.

Another Ashevillian here!!  And it's only hippieville in the downtown part... Lots of people have this misconception that it's a hippie town, but there's lots of us normals here too!

I live in Cary, NC (just to the east of Raleigh, next to RTP).  But there's a good chance we're moving to San Jose, CA, toward the end of the year.
