I'm sort of near you, if 2.5 hours drive is "near".  :-)

I live in Trail, BC.

Thats pritty close....how is the weather there?  We have more snow than I would like.  Its good exercise trudging though it though!  :)
The weather here is probably the same as yours ( or close to)...and YES! WAY TOO MUCH SNOW THIS YEAR!!!! I find it very frustrating going for daily walks when you can never get any momentum going. I might as well be walking through quicksand! I really like Coeur d alene. We go there a few times a year.  :-)

I have been putting on my winter boots on and trudging right through the snow and Its really been making me sweat...but now its all wet and soggy.  Sigh!  Oh well.

I was born in Williams Lake.  Ever been there?  :-)

I lived in Post Falls for a year!  Long long long time ago but I have fond memories of playing in all that snow!
I'm...relatively close, I guess.  Pullman.  WSU, baby!  Anyway, I definately agree with this gross weather.  True, we got our first snow day(s) in who-knows-how-long (I've heard so many versions of how many years it's been, I don't know what's true), but... honestly!  Today, it actually has rained some, and a lot of the snow is leaving.  Which is fine by me!  I hate snow and I hate cold and I hate wind--  why I go to WSU is beyond me.  Oh, wait, it's because their physics department ROCKS.  Shucks!  ;)
Yes trudging is a good descriptor! I have never been to Williams lake, but if you were born in BC how did you end up in Idaho?
My father is from the US and he moved us down here when I was three.  My mother has family in Cranbrook too.

Hey I am only about an hour away!

Crazy! Well you live in a nice area for sure. My kids beg to go to Silverwood every summer and we have no problem obliging. I have Old Navy envy though. We don't have one anywhere near here. Frown
Im from nevada but I have a good friend that lives in Kingston.  She has been trying to come down here for the last 3 weekends but all the snow you guys are getting is putting a damper on her travel plans!!

I hear its beautiful up there.
Thats in my area too.  Small world.

I am from CDA...

Oh wow!  I lived in Plummer, ID until I graduated in 1977.  That's 36 miles south of Cd'A on US 95.  My parents owned the Hiway Motel in Plummer up until 1984.  My sister-in-law, Dianne bought it from them.   Both of my daughters were born at Kootenai Memorial Hospital (now called something else-Kootenai Medical Center??).  I lived in Cd'A before Rosauers was built at the intersection of Appleway and US 95.  (Rosauers is no longer there, and hasn't been for probably 10 years).  I was one of the first customers to walk through the K-Mart eons ago.  I haven't been to Cd'A forever.  I remember when Dwayne Hagadons Cd'A resort still had the restaurant called "Cloud Nine".  I've walked on the Boardwalk, attended the massive fireworks on July 4th, and worked at a dinky sewing plant called K-L Manufacturing on the old Highway for 6 years.  I remember when you knew the boundrys of Cd'A, Post Falls and Spokane.  If I remember correctly, St. Maries is about 26 miles east, Kellogg is 54 miles north, Moscow is 86 miles south and WSU (go Cougars!) is 15 miles west of Moscow.  Moscow is pronounced Mos-co (like Costo), not Mos-cow as in the Soviet Union.

I was the manager that opened the Shilo Inn just off the freeway.

Is that close enough for you?  I currently live in Bend, OR.  I miss lake Cd'A.  God's country, for sure.  Funny, I lived almost 20 years up in that area and never, ever went into Canada.  PM me if you'd like.

Yeah CDA has grown and changed a lot. The funny thing is I have never been to Canada either lol I am not even sure why... Well anyway nice to meet you

My boyfriend's parents live in Sandpoint on Lake Pend Orielle (sp?). It is beautiful up there! We always spend about a week up there for the 4th of July and again sometime around Christmas. We would both love to move there, but I think we may need to wait until we retire.....only another 20-25 years, haha!
