anyone only need to lose a little?

I'm trying to lose somewhere between 10-15lbs which I know isn't really too much. I'm following the right amount of calories for my body and according to how much I work out. I'm wondering if since its a smaller amount will it take longer and not the quick 1lb a week that I'm looking for. I'm creating a 500-700 lb deficite every day.

hey, beck.  i'm down to the last 5 to 10, and it is stubborn!  i don't have any answers for you, but your plan should work!  the trick is that the calculations are estimates; burn rates and exertion are different for everyone.  give it a couple of weeks, and if you don't see a difference, make an adjustment.

good luck!
I have 10 lbs left to lost, which I started with 20.  The first 10 came off fairly easy but now I am struggling with the last 10.  I haven't lost anything since Feb 26th.  It gets a little discouraging but I know eventually it has to come off....and if it doesn't i am going to eat a pint of Ben & Jerry's using a snickers bar as my spoon. Laughing ha!  J/K but I really have always wanted to do that.  I hope your 10-15 come off easier than my last 10.  Good luck.  How tall are you?  Age?  I am 5'9' and 29

I am shooting for exactly the same as you 10-15lbs.  SW = 145, CW = 139, GW = 130-135.  5'7", 31 yrs old.

It has taken me 2 months to lose 6 lbs mostly because my BMR isn't very far off from my burn meter set at sedentary.  Even on days I work out I had difficulty reaching a large deficit.  I basically try to have 250 cal deficit per day so I don't end up eating below BMR and gaining weight, slowing down my metabolism.  I also was working out like crazy for a while and I lost inches but not weight during that time due to putting on some muscle (yay!).

I have to admit though, I'm not near as strict about this as some other people on this site who don't seem to eat real food ever.  I eat healthy most of the time but I don't believe in eating a bunch of processed "diet" food.  So, long story short my experience has been that it is a slow process.

I'm 30 years old, 5'3" and 120lbs. I've been down to about 105lbs at my smallest and that was perfect. I'm very small boned. So, even though I know 120 is w/in my healthy range I've still got a few lbs that I could lose to look and feel just that much healthier. I've developed a little extra around the middle that I'd love to get rid of!
I will turn 30 in a couple of months, 5'1.5", 97.5 lbs as of today. I've lost quite a bit of weight over the past 4 years and I only have 2.5 more pounds to go. I have permanently changed the way I eat in terms of the kind of things I eat and the portion size. After losing so much weight, I already feel so much healthier and at the same time I have much more energy. I have cut down the amount of carb intake and decided eat a lot of traditional Japanese food instead, and my weight came down very quickly and consistently. I don't really count calories, but the things I cook are very low calories to begin with, so I can eat a lot of it without gaining weight. I think that low-calorie food doesn't have to be rabbit food especially if you look into all types of hardcore ethnic food.

I am 27. 5'4... CW: 135. Lowest Weight: 124 = Which is where I should be! That's how much I weighed before I got married 3.5 years ago. Since then my new job has me moving around much less and eating out more! What am I supposed to do? Go to an Italian restaurant and just WATCH everyone ELSE eat???

I know there is a lull coming up as far as dinners at work so I have no excuses. My long term goal is a cruise this summer but I can't have a count that goes that long.  (I want to lose enough so I can EAT on the boat!)

Short term is 5 pounds by Easter. It's really only day one (again) but I hope I make it through the weekend.

My problem is, I know all the secrets and tricks.... I just need to DO IT! Let's do it together!

Same experience. I'm 23 5"4' and GW 125 CW 137 HW 145. I have been doing this since Jan 1st. I have had some good weeks, some bad weeks but most often I try to eat a healthy diet, work in fruits and veggies and work out 5 days a week. I'm kind of getting back on track after falling off the bandwagon for a week but its been a slow process. Now I'm going to focus on inches. In that time I've lost 2 inches of my waist! Yeahhh
