Xfall- You looked beautiful before, too.

I may have posted in here before, but I am again because I just put some before/during shots in my journal.  Beware though, they are in underwear and not very pretty to view - although I'm happy with them :)

did u all acheive this by just calorie reduction and exersize??

I did it by doing a little of each...calorie reduction but with better nutrition and returning to an exercise plan.

Same as Dave....  Calorie reduction eating healthy foods (vs. low calorie) and starting an exercise routine.  I pitched all sugary, starcy, over-processed foods and replaced them with whole foods.  My fridge is full of fresh veggies, fruits and lean protein.  Snacks are now raisins, natural almonds, apples and healthy treats.  Sodas and sugary drinks (even those with sweetners) were replaced with good, refreshing water.

It took awhile to retrain my taste buds but once I did, it was easy to give up the old 'danger' foods.

As for exercise, I started slowly and added new exercises, steps, etc. as I became comfortable.  Now I'm at the gym at least 4-5 days per week.

There are a lot more tricks that I use, such as learning about portion control and learning about the difference between good and bad fats, but the good nutrition and exercise are critical.

Good luck.  There are a lot of very inspiring people on this thread whom I'm sure would be more then happy to offer good advice.

Deleted duplicate entry.

you guys look fantastic.. keep it up

I have some!  Posting them actually makes me motivated to continue. :D  I don't really have any of me at my biggest--I'm pretty sure I shredded them all, haha.  Check them out in my gallery.

I have several from throughout my journey in my profile :)

I've got some on my profile too.  The most recent pic is a TERRIBLE shot of me, but really shows off my fat baby face.  Working towards having cheekbones again.  Only about 10 lbs away!

Can you believe in my pics of me at my highest weight I actually thought I was slender?!  I really didn't see my arms or tummy in the mirror!

I just posted a new one as my default pic :)

I have before and after pics on my profile. I have lost almost 100 pounds so far so I am actually smaller now than in the after pic.   It took me a year as I started counting caloies on January 7th 2007.   I hadn't been under 200 since my pre-teen years. so , yeah I am sooo excited that this site worked for me!! I hope this is motivating for you!

I have progress pics in my gallery now. One at my highest weight of 227. That picture was the wakeup call, I think. Then there's one at 195 and one at 185 in the same clothes.

As to the question about how, the first 30 pounds were diet alone. Since then, I've actually started exercising, I run three days a week, and I see a personal trainer two days a week.

A Beauty queen I'm not, but I am giving it a go.  I am a big gal, and some of you here don't seem to be as big as me ~ so I am quite nervous here.  Feeling exposed and vulnerable, but I realize it is part of the "Journey" right?  So my pics are also now in my Gallery area ~ ~ for all to see Sealed  I must be crazy !!

In my Journal. 175lbs lost. Gawd it's so weird to still say that.

Just got back from checking out your pix, cool, that makes me feel better.  Thanks.

I read your bio also ~ nice.  See the surgery thing ~ i am a chicken there, but I am kinda doing things to what some would consider backwards,  but this is what is working for me right now.  I had lost weight before ~ many times before Yell I guess you could say I've been down the weight loss road loads of times, Yo Yo city kinda thing.  A few springs ago My Hubby & I tackled Hip Hop Abs ~ will I could not believe we were doing that ~ it was hard at first, but I did it.  By the end of it I had lost 40 pounds, and felt better, but the weight loose could not be seen.  I think I would have to lose almost 60 pounds before someone seems to notice or something, cause no 1 saw it at 40.  That was such a let down, cause I had worked so hard, and followd the eating plan to the T.   Anyway a bunch of "Life" happened and I was off the wagon again.  Then I found this body applicator thing, and it detoxed the lympth system and rids it of latent fats and tightens, tones and firms sagging skin.  So I could see how that would work right, so I gave it a try, and I lost 11.5 inches with just the first 1.  So I tried more and long story short, so far I have detoxed 5 times, and lost (to date) 31.5 inches !! The inch loss is just starting to go a little slower now, so I will have to get busy over the summer here, and change my eating habits, and get some organ support with some supplements, and giver the old college try again.  Since the detox applicator works to tighten lose skin, I need to give it something to work with ! lol  I am happy to find that proper eating and this detox thing work together so well.  I will take this as far as I can go, and my hope is I will not have to have an operation in the end.  Besides my skin is looking so nice now ~ like the stretch marks are slowly disapearing also, it just looks better, like more moist and nurtured.  I am happy with my choice thus far, and the place I got the applicator from also offers support supplements and an online weight loss program with a social network for additon support also. I like that I can find everything I need in 1 place, and I really like coming here, and finding so much great information and support.

Gotta go take my pup our for a pee now, so thanks again.  I hope to have more time after we move to our new home to really dive into this site and "pick" everyones brain so to speak ~!  Wink
