it never really bothered me when we intially started dating but lately..i feel like it's we're imbalanced together lol if that makes sense..it just seems weird to me when i visibly weigh more than my bf..and i also weigh more than him on the scale and he's 6ft!! I'm 5'5 and 145 by the way..tryin to get to 125..just strange and kinda uncomfortable for me sometimes....i dunno does anyone ever get that feeling..it's not a constant thing or nething..we've been dating for almost 2 yrs now..but every once in awhile it creeps up ...and other ppl have noticed it...don't mean to sound insecure..i actually was jus wondering if ne1 has experienced something like this..
anyways keep in touch guys! :)

Oh yeah...my boyfriend is 5'11" and only 145lbs which means...that I currently weigh more than him. I try to force feed him but he insists on living on coffee and cigarettes. My friend made a comment one night "I hate it when fat chicks go for skinny guys" Hello!!??! I am a fat chick dating a skinny guy. The girls she was talking about were the same size as me.
know exactly how u feel..i'm not even that visibly overweight..according to my bmi and i am healthy ..just could lose a few...yet my bf's friends have made comments about my weight..i think it's just the fact that he looks so skinny next to me!
I almost always dated thin boys/men. No matter how big I was. Usually tall too. I'm short so i occasionally got teased about it by friends in HS, albeit that was generally friendly teasing only. It wasn't really ever an issue. I am just not attracted to bulk, even if it'ssupposedly "muscle." Never liked football player look. lol Who gives a rat's ass what someone else might think about it. Better to not be one of these girls who only dates guys heavier and it looks like you have no choice or don't feel confident enough that anyone else could be attracted to you... not just people who are heavy. Especially if he's a good guy. You wouldn't want to ruin that for what amounts to someone else's issue. You're here anyway, so clearly you're not complacent! Weight can change anyway. Never know which person in a relationship might end up gaining weight later. Things happen.
My husband and I started dating when we were 16. We both weighed around 120-130. Now, 12 years later he weighs 195, at 5'11', which should means he overweight, but no, he's ripped. He goes to the gym all the time and is so hot it's annoying. I'm 5'3' and 170 as of now (and not ripped, sad to say). To make it even more fun, we live in a party town and he tends bar at one of the busiest in town, getting fit, barely 21 year olds offering to take him home all the time. So, yes, I feel it sometimes, wanting to be as attractive as he is. But then he looks at me and I know to him I am. And other than my own, his opionion is the only one that matters. He's happy I'm exersicing because it's another thing we can do together, not because he secretly thinks I'm fat. Just remember that real relationships are based on connections, not pants size.
If hes 6ft tall and under 145 hes really underweight so dont compare yourself to a man who isnt even at a healthy weight for that height.
My boyfriend is about two inches taller than me and I'm 15 pounds heavier. So its not that big of a distinction, but it does make me feel horrible when I realize I weigh more than he does. Luckily, he's got very broad shoulders and big arms and a bigger chest and I've got more of an hourglass shape (or at least I did before the hourglass filled up LOL) so it makes it not as noticable.
My boyfriend is five inches taller than me and weighs twenty pounds less than I do. I'm still chubby (not for much longer) and he's lifting weights and eating way more than he used to. His problem is appetite. He's gained ten pounds already, mostly muscle. Looking forward to being the same weight as him, and looking forward even more to weighing less than he does.
My boyfriend is WAY more fit than me, but he has a big belly LOL. I only weigh about 10lbs less than him, but you can't tell we're that close in weight by looking. But when I borrow a pair of his shorts if I don't have any they're tight on me!!!! But his belly is actually way bigger, it's just that my waist is so much higher up LOL.
The great thing about having a fit boyfriend is that you have someone to help you get in shape, to help encourage and motivate you to both exercise and eat well. I cook healthy meals for us most of the time, and we work out together (kayak, mountain bike, running, frisbee, etc) so it's really great. And it's wonderful to know he loves me even if I did gain some poundage. He never makes me feel fat or out of shape, he's very supportive and helpful and we all need that!!

My boyfriend is 5'11" and like 150 pounds. He's a stick. I'm 5'7" and 257 pounds, LOL.
It kinda makes me feel self-concious sometimes but he always tells me how much he loves the way I look so it doesn't bother me too bad. :P

When my fiance' and I started dating we both weighed about 165 lbs although I'm 5'5" and he's about 5'8". Then I gained 30 lbs and ballooned up to 195 while he only gained about 20 pounds. Now we've both been working out together and dieting and he already lost 15 pounds in one month!! Although he has a VERY active job (landscaping) it's just not fair!! I always complain about my weight to him and he always says I look fine and I have no doubt he is physically attracted to me. Also I told him I wanna get down to 135-140 and he says NO way you'll look to skinny you should only get down to 150 max! It's flattering and annoying at the same time because I KNOW I won't look too skinny and it bothers me that I weigh more than him! I do feel like "the fat girl that goes for th skinny guy"!
I started going out with my bf before I lost weight, and I did weigh more than him then. He didn't care though, he always told me how beautiful and sexy I was. I now weigh less than he does and he still says every day how beautiful he thinks I am! I never felt insecure because of my weight at all around him. That's how I know he's a keeper! :)
I am also 5" shorter & 20 lbs heavier than my boyfriend. He eats like crap but overcomes it by being an avid, obsessive cyclist so he has that lean cyclist physique. On the other hand, my middle name should be "sloth" in that I eat fine but don't exercise NEARLY as much as I should. My s-l-o-w metabolism doesn't help. I swear I can gain a pound simply being in the same room with a birthday cake. *sigh*
yeaaaaaah. He's got 8 inches on me and only weights 15 pounds more than me. And eats and eats- and then, yeah. Eats. It sucks! Then he wants me to go running with him- yeah, because I can bang out a 6 min mile at his side- riiiiiiight.
My boyfriend is 3 inches taller than me and only weights 5-10 pounds more than me. Its sad to say, but its actually a big reason that I want to lose weight, I don't feel as feminine when I'm almost the same size as my boyfriend. I have no problem being tall, as long as he is taller than me, but being wider than him puts me off in a big way.
Hubby is 5-11 and I am 5-2. While he is now skinny (too skinny I say!!) I am getting fit but still round around the bottom half :p
My peeve is that he looks soooo much taller than me now that he is skinny! So annoying. :p
I honestly think he needs to be fatter a bit, not talking just weight perse but really, girth wise. I mean, he is cinching his pants that is already size 32"! Yeah, like he would listen to his tiny wifey *bleh*....

Ya, my boyfriend is around 5'8'' or so, and he weighs about 158lbs. That's about what I weigh right now, and it bugs me cause I'm trying to lose weight, and he is trying to bulk up. He wants to gain 20lbs or so! You can have mine!!
The comments coming from your friends about your weight being higher than his is probably more directed at your boyfriend being so skinny than at you. You stats don't suggest that you're overweight. Most of the skinny guys that I know are self-conscious about being so skinny.
for fun one day, my boyfriend tried on one of my belts.. he got to the last hole comfortably, whereas I wore it on the 2nd to last snugly.
that was 15 pounds ago and was a source of inspiration for me :D

WOW! I am so glad I saw this thread. I am engaged to a very thin man. Very thin. Ugh... He lives on coffee and cigarettes, and it gets old. Even though he has never made me feel inferior or fat, I hate to have pics taken with him because I feel like an elephant next to a giraffe. LOL My problem is, I keep nagging about losing weight, and I just want to do it. I'm about 30lbs heavier than him. My goal would actually be to weigh what he weighs (it's just a coincidence that my goal is 30lbs--I'm not THAT competitive!) URGGG!!!
I don't look fat. Im athletic and play volleyball constantly... but i do weight 168... and I sometimes feel that that holds me back from dating. I mean, i wonder what men think about when they see me. Do they think im fat? or not? Because i am not fat, i am overweight. I wish i could get inside their heads. what do you think?
