hey guys, woke up this morning had a special k bar and a few pieces of pineapple (150 cal) .. had soccer practice from 930-12 then went out to eat with my team at TGIF's. i got a grilled chicken dish, that had rice and brocolli. i ate 3 oz of the chicken, half a cup of rice, and about a cup of brocolli. plus i had a few bites of salad. im estimating i ate about 400 cals at TGIFS..what do u think?
came home and ate low fat ice cream on a cake cone :) with a serving of fat free pringles..thats about 450 right?

You need to eat more, especially since you had such a long workout!
Puts you around 900 for the day? Before dinner? Sounds good to me. Got dairy, got protein, got some fat, some carbs...looks good. Try to eat something balanced for dinner and you're good :)

Try to get more protein at breakfast, but especially before something like soccer practice!
Try eating a snack between meals. It's good to keep your food spaced out. At this point, it looks like you can afford more calories especially with the long work out.

thanks everyone..but what has protein that i can eat before soccer that wont be too filling

Hard boiled eggs are quick way to get some protien, or when I go to the gym in the morning, I make a power shake using a product I love - "SP Complete" from Standard Process. I like it b/c it does not have the sugar that many of those products do. I add a banana and ususally a handful of berries or some other fruit like mango.
I ate yogurt and a nectarine for breakfast. Had some sunflower seeds and dried dates for a snack. For lunch I made thai curry with brown rice, shrimp, pea pods and zuchinni. For afternoon snack I had an apple and chocolate soy milk. I totally lost it at dinner with two soft tacos at Taco Bell. That blew all the good work I did all day.
