Can anyone recommend a good yoga DVD to use at home??
Hello, anyone have a good recommendation for yoga DVD's? I run 3-5 miles a day, but am no longer flexible like I used to be. I need to be able to follow a routine for 30 minutes or more or I'll just sit on the floor for a few minutes and get bored. Thanks for your help!
Have you done yoga before? It's very important to make sure that you're doing the postures properly, so I always recommend that people go to a studio a few times before doing it on their own.
Otherwise, Gaiam makes wonderful DVDs and there's also yogatoday.com. It's a great website that will send you a weekly schedule of different classes. Again, you should have proper form before attempting anything on your own. Have fun!
hey, thanks for the suggestions. I have done some yoga in class and feel i'm ok to do it just be following a video.
Thanks again!
I started with Yoga Zone Introduction to Yoga then moved onto Conditioning and Stress Release, loved that one.
Now I rotate between Rainbow Mars Pure Power & Pure Sweat, Vinyasa flow. I also love Baron Baptiste Long and Lean Yoga.
I just purchased Shiva Rea Fluid Power Vinyasa flow yoga but I need to work up to it since it's a bit more intermediate.
I would agree with britishvixen21 about the geri yoga DVD - the instructor is actually a lady called Katy Appleton, and I think she's great. It demonstrates easier versions of postures for beginners, and also more advanced versions too.

I second this one. I've been looking for another one, just for variety, but still haven't found a routine that even comes close.
